September Empties | Skincare, Haircare & Makeup

Another month over (where is the year going?!), and it’s weird to think I only have one left in this flat! Putting that aside, this is my September empties; so everything I’ve used up over the last 30 days! It’s been a fairly quiet month, while I start to use things up as opposed to buy more things, but I’m sure the October empties will be intense!

Pantene Hair Biology Full & Vibrant Shampoo & Conditioner

So I’ve really enjoyed trying out a range of new shampoos and conditioners recently. And while I’ve found a few gems, these were just ok! My hair was clean and soft, but it wasn’t like I’m rushing down to Boots tomorrow to pick these up!

Superdrug Extra Firm Hold Hairspray

So I’m not a massive hairspray person, like I use so little of it that I have a bottle for a million years. And this is probably only the third bottle of hairspray I’ve finished in my life. Like it did it’s job, and it’s super cheap… but I kinda feel like I use up so few of them I should try something new!

Percy & Reed Hair Finishing Polish

So I feel like the first two products of this empties I’ve been so on the fence about… however I certainly have a feeling about this. I hated it. It left my hair feeling gritty, but not in a nice way, and it just wasn’t pleasant to use. I haven’t really used anything from Percy & Reed that’s particularly worked with my hair type! Would not repurchase. Ever

Cutex Ultra Cleansing Nail Polish Remover

Can you get more classic? Probs not. I feel like everyone, their mother, their aunt, and probably even their uncle for some weird DIY project owns one of these. It just gets the job done and it’s affordable.

Simple Eye Makeup Remover

This is one of those products that does the job, and for that reason I can’t recommend it enough. However, it just stinks. And for someone who has a dreadful sense of smell, I dread to think what normal people smell when they use this. I really can’t describe it, but I just really didn’t enjoy using this. However, the packaging was certainly interesting, would be handy for travelling, but wouldn’t buy for at home use- as it is fairly difficult to control how much product you get out

Boots Cucumber Face Wipes

Cheap. Affordable. Does the job.

Origins Cheeks and Balances Frothy Face Wash

So. Honestly believe this is the best face wash I’ve ever used. I haven’t tried much from Origins, but this has definitely got me intrigued! When I’ve settled in my new flat, this is definitely going on the wish list!

NYX 3 Steps to Sculpt Palette

The powder and bronzer in this palette have a beautiful texture, gorgeous colour and blend like a dream. And while, as I’m sure you can tell, I’m not a fan of the highlighter I would totally repurchase this! Love it when you finish a pan!

Maybelline Brow Ultra Slim

Who remembers when I used to be obsessed with the Maybelline Brow Satin pencil? Yeah me too. Now I look at it in the shop and the pencil just seems way too fat. Now this is like the cousin that’s half the size. I really enjoyed this brow pencil. Would buy again

Rimmel Brow Pro Micro

I mean this one, the Maybelline one and the Max Factor one are basically interchangable, so find whatever one has the right shade for you and you’re set.

Rimmel Exaggerate Lipliner

So here’s the thing. I used to sing praises about this lip liner, and I pretty much was until a month or so back. And now I’m realising just how drying these lipliners are, and they’re proper thick. However, they do last a really long time… but I’m definitely on the look out for a new line of lipliners.

And there you have it another month over. And I couldn’t be more excited for October. Not only is it my Birthday tomorrow (on the day this is being posted), but also I’m going the declutter series as I prepare to move into my new house… so hope you enjoy that one!

Have a great Sunday!
