Everyone knows the iconic Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation and Serum, and it almost seems barmy to me that it’s taken this long to release a Primer to go alongside it. However, here we are, many years later, with a beautiful red tube with the Bourjois Healthy Mix Primer. At £9.99 this is in no way the cheapest primer, but it’s a reasonable price point.

The primer has a beautiful peach tone that gently perfects as it primes. It, in no way shape or form, has good coverage, but it does blur the skin a little and supplies a little bit of tone evening coverage while also smoothing everything ready for foundation. It adds a little bit of tack, but it does make the skin feel much smoother and gives it a little slip. I feel like this works really well for the dry patches, but not so well for oilier skins.

As with pretty much the entire Bourjois complexion range, the primer has a slight apricot scent, so if you are sensitive to scents I wouldn’t use this if I were you, however, it is in no way offensive and once you apply foundation over the top you can’t even smell it.

The packaging is a simple, classic, elegant red and I feel like this is a pretty good primer. Definitely one I’m going to continue using!
Have you tried this? If so, what did you think?

I’ve honestly had Bourjois on my bucket list for ages.

I feel like it’s one of those drugstore brands so sadly overlooked 🙁 x
