Wet n Wild Liquid Catsuit Lipstick

I feel like I’m the only blogger in the world who’s not really tried anything from Wet n Wild. They feel like they’re one of the drugstore brands you just cant not try. So when I was in Boots picking up some goodies I felt like I should probably try some of their liquid lipsticks and so I picked up two of their Liquid Catsuit lipsticks. One in the matte finish and one in the high-shine formula.

Wet n Wild Liquid Catsuit Price – £4.75

Like you really can’t argue with the price. At £4.75 they’re some of the cheapest lipsticks I own. And you get a decent amount of product (with 5.7g). Wet n Wild as a brand are super affordable so I expected nothing less… but at under a fiver? Bargain!

Wet n Wild Liquid Catsuit Packaging

I’m a fan of the packaging. Simple and classic, but you can so easily and quickly see what colour it is you’re trying to use (it’s one of my pet peeves of things like the Mac lipsticks.) The doe foot applicator has this really flat edge that means it’s relatively easy to apply all over the lips and even in the corners.

Wet n Wild Liquid Catsuit Colours

The colour selection is gorgeous. They have some stunning colours out there. But I picked up two colours I’m really into right now. A red liquid lipstick shade in the high shine formula – Bad Girl’s Club. And then this gorgeous purple shade in Berry Recognise. Like I’d really love to know who names lipsticks? It sounds like the dream job!

Wet n Wild Liquid Catsuit Formula & Wear Time

I mean, as you can see from the swatches. These lipsticks are pigmented as anything! The colour payoff is beautiful. And it means they’re really easy to apply. They’re not a weightless formula; as in you can totally feel them on the lips. Not in a sticky, horrible, get them off my lips way. Just like a you know you’re wearing a lipstick kinda way. Hope that makes sense. They do transfer (the gloss more than the matte). But both of them to that thing I really hate where they wear away on the inside of the lips first and bunch up on the outside of your lips… leaving you this really weird outline on your lips.

Wet n Wild Liquid Catsuit – Final Thoughts

It’s such a shame.. because the packaging, pricing, colour selection and payoff are all soo right… but there’s something about the formula that I find doesn’t wear that nicely on my lips! I find if you dab a light layer of these on the lips (so you get a good wash of colour) they do, however, look really nice! So all in all, would use them, but wouldn’t repurchase if I finished them!

Have you tried these? If so, what did you think?

  1. The colors are fun indeed. Too bad that they do not wear well. I find often with makeup you get what you pay for. Not that you can not find good drug store products but I like to spend a bit more on makeup easier to splurge there then on clothes lol.

  2. The berry shade is stunning! I’m not really a fan of liquid lipsticks but my favourite formula is by a brand called xoBeauty – the formula is like a demi-matte mousse and is so comfortable to wear xx
