What Did I Get In My Advent Calendars…?

I am such a fan of an advent calendar…. like it’s the best way to try out a load of products all in one go! And it’s pretty much like going shopping every morning which I’m completely there for! I managed to get two advent calendars this year; the Look Fantastic & the Cult Beauty Advent Calendars. I unbox them daily over on my Instagram Stories (if you want the live updates you’ll be able to find them here)!

Look Fantastic

Day 1 – Natasha Denona Blush Glow Duo

I have wanted to try something from Natasha Denona for the longest time, so I’m not going to lie, this is the most exciting first door ever! It proper but me in the mood to open more doors!

Value: £16

Day 2 – Luxie Tapered Highlight Brush

I already have this brush and it’s GORGEOUS! Such a beautiful highlighting brush… and I don’t feel like I need two so I will probably gift this to a friend, but if any of you don’t have this yet… get your hands on it now!

Value: £14

Day 3 – Molton Brown Shower Gel in Delicious Rhubarb & Rose

I mean who isn’t a fan of the Molton Brown Shower Gels? They’re just so luxurious and they lather up gorgeously! Plus this smell is so pretty…!

Value: £7.30 (£22 for full size 300ml bottle)

Day 4 – Rodial Dragons Blood Cleansing Water

I’ve actually used very little from Rodial, but I always hear such good things… and Dragons Blood cleansing water just sounds so interesting? And that colour is stunning!

Value : £17

Day 5 – 3INA 532 The Cream Eyeshadow

This is one of those brands I don’t know much about, but this eyeshadow is so pretty! Like this copper shade is stunning! A few friends on Instagram have mentioned that this is stunning as an eyeshadow base and lasts about 9 months from being open.

Value: £13

Day 6 – Philip Kingsley Elasticizer Therapies Deep Conditioning Mask

I actually haven’t really ever got on with this brand, but this does look really nice and it smells delicious (scent is vanilla and orange blossom- which is pretty much my favourite scent)

Value: £9.50

Cult Beauty

Day 1 – Votary Super Seed Facial Oil

So many people messaged me about this product when I posted it on Instagram telling me it’s epic and I’ll be excited to try it… have to be honest, when I looked up the price I nearly fell off my chair! I feel like this is going to be one of those products that even if I love I probably won’t be repurchasing, but I’m certainly excited!

Value £75

Day 2 – Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Triple Detox Shampoo

I hear such good things about Living Proof shampoos and hair products and this is such a good travel size! And detox sounds great!

Value: £10

Day 3 – Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Luminous Flush

I nearly picked one of these up in the Black Friday sales as they’ve been on my wishlist for ages. But I’m so glad I didn’t because this is gorgeous! And it’s so adorable in the mini version!

Value: £24

Day 4 – Oskia Liquid Mask Lactic Acid Micro-Peel

The few things I’ve tried from this brand I have been obsessed with! This product says it’s perfect for getting rid of dead cells and who doesn’t love that! Just can’t wait to try this out!

Value: £65

Day 5 – Verso Eye Cream

Seriously why are these products so darn expensive?! But I’m certainly going to have some gorgeous skin in the new year! Another product I posted about on social and I had people reaching out saying they loved it!

Value: £55

Day 6 – Herbivore Prism Exfoliating Glow Serum

I love a good serum and I feel like Herbivore are a relatively new skincare brand on the scene and so I can’t wait to try this out and see what I think of it!

Value: £16

With the Look Fantastic one totalling £76.80 vs the Cult Beauty one at £245 I’ve certainly got a steal and already paid off the value of the advent calendars! Can’t wait to try all these out!

Which advent calendars do you have this year?

  1. Short the blush duo, I would probably enjoy trying all of these products. I would be really interested to hear how that Rodial Dragons Blood Cleansing Water and Oskia Liquid Mask Lactic Acid Micro-Peel work for you.

  2. Thank you for sharing this post Katie, these are gorgeous choices 🙂 I only have a chocolate advent calendar (cadbury do the best calendars!) but I think these are lovely little treats in the lead up to Christmas x
