Because I spend so much time in Superdrug (like I rarely even go into Boots anymore – blame the 14 months I worked there… got a bit of brand allegiance), there are so many brands out there I pretty much ignore. In fact, there is just so much makeup I’m yet to try because I restrict myself to Superdrug’s like 14 brands… so I thought I would round up a handful of brands I really want to try more of. It’ll give me a kick up the bum (so elegant) to try more and because I’ve written it down, you can keep me to it…
Pop Beauty | This really is that brand out of these I haven’t really ever used! I got a loose pigment in one of my advent calendars and it’s GORGEOUS! It’s also a brand I hear chucked about here and there, but I don’t really know any specific products that people love. So I’d love to make a little order and try more from the brand, plus it’s affordable, so I won’t bankrupt myself!
MAC | Yup… you read that right. I’ve tried a number of their normal lipsticks and a handful of their shadows… however that’s literally it. So many people rave about their foundations, lip liners, powders and the setting spray that I just really want (in fact NEED) to try more from this brand!
Steve Laurant | I feel like this is a fairly popular brand, but I must just follow a lot of blogger that prefer the drugstore side of things… because I literally couldn’t name a single product from this brand (minus the lipstick I own of course)… but that just makes me all the more intrigued!
Doucce | So this highlighter (pictured) is my go to. I literally love it so so so much! And I’ve tried a few bits here or there from the brand that I’ve been fairly impressed by. However, that’s literally it! I know nothing about this brand, except from the fact it’s always in beauty boxes!
TopShop | So apparently the TopShop makeup went through a bit of a rebrand recently, and so I’d love to try some stuff from the new range. I have their lipstick in Devotion, and it’s easily my most used bullet lipstick. It’s such a beautiful colour, easy to apply and soo comfortable to wear. Plus their packaging (at least their old packaging) is super cute!
Do you have any products from these brands to recommend? I’d love to try more from these brands in particular, but let me know any amazing underrated products in general!

MAC Studio Fix Foundation is one of my all time faves!! I got a tester not so long ago and fell back in love so need to grab a full one soon! And their Studio fix powder foundation – I use a darker one as a bronzer but have heard really good things about using it over foundation for more coverage xx
Sooo many people love that foundation and powder I feel like I NEED to try them… ahh!
You should try the ‘next to nothing’ powder by MAC- one of my favourites! Feels like nothing on your skin 😍
There are so many face/base products I NEED to try from MAC! Looking like that’s where my next paycheck is going 😉
I’ve been working in Superdrug for around 17 months now and I’m the same! I stick to the same brands within Superdrug and never venture out. Great post!
OMG you work at Superdrug… that almost makes me sad 🙁 I miss working there, even though it’s retail, I LOVED that job! x
I love it for so many different reasons, especially the discounts 😂 x
I have a bajillion brands that I want to try out this year. To name a few, IT Cosmetics, Hourglass, Charlotte Tilbury (all so damn expensive)!
Angela at Blush & Pearls
Definitely try out Topshop’s new makeup!! Not only does the packaging look gorg, but they also changed the formula of their lipsticks and they’re so damn creamy, I picked up their glow powder the other day (when I definitely didn’t need to) and I’m obsessed <3
I mean I never need any of the makeup I buy…. haha! x
I can vouch for the mac studio fluid fix foundation 💁♀️
I feel like I am the same, only ever going into Superdrug. I don’t know what it is about their store, but I feel familiar? I really want to try some of the top shop makeup aswell, I have only ever heard good things about them! Hopefully this post will give me the kick I need to actually try it!xox
Colourpop for me is a brand I want to try more
