Worth The Hype? | RCMA No Colour Powder

I used to see this powder EVERYWHERE and had never tried it. And I’m not going to lie, I started to feel left out! So to feel like I could be one of the gang again I picked one up. Weird how this community can make you feel like that sometimes. Like you NEED to own certain items so you can keep up. But that’s entirely another debate and not one to bring up right now- though happy to talk about it at a later point if you’re interested in my view?

When you see this is £11.75 it sounds a little more expensive than your traditional drugstore powder BUT you get a ridiculous amount of product in this bottle. You have 85g in this product and I’ve been using this for over a year and I’ve still barely made a dent! Mental really!

So, I guess the first thing to say I HATE the packaging. Like it’s kind of clinical and simple, but in no way practical. Like when you have a loose powder you need somewhere to tip it when you apply it on the face. And where does it go? The answer is, you need another pot or something to put it in and it’s bloody annoying! I know I’m not alone in this complaint, but thought it was worth putting my frustration into the mix.

However, this product is gorgeous! It’s matifying without being too drying. It’s finely milled so doesn’t look too powdery on the skin. It’s mostly tranlucent and so matches every skin tone… however I would say it does leave a slight white cast on the skin if you go a little ham. Doesn’t bother me too much as I’m ridiculously pale as it is, but worth noting. But if you apply in layers and don’t go in too hard, it actually is translucent.

Ditto with flashback. If you apply a ‘normal’ amount of powder, there doesn’t appear to be any flashback in photos.

All in all. I love this product. You get sooo much product in here it’ll last you forever. It’s finely milled and looks really lovely on the skin. If applied with a gentle hand it’s not too white. And I can see how it had the reputation it had.

Have you tried this powder? If so, what did you think?
