The Dream Palette Challenge | Dream Matte Palette

Thought I’d start a little challenge over here! Recently I realised just how many eyeshadow palettes I had, so it only felt right to create a challenge putting them at the front; A Dream Palette Challenge! 8 different posts themed around 8 different things (check out Instagram for the full breakdown: @katieemmabeauty) creating your dream palette with all the eyeshadows you own!

Here are the details:

Time to start off the challenge with my dream matte palette. It’s no secret I’m into a warm neutral so it should be no surprise that my dream matte palette is just FULL of ’em! I have to say a handful of favourite shades were replaced with other favs because they swatched better… but a girls gotta make a great blog picture! But I mean I had 100 different options for this post, so I was definitely spoilt for choice! And I’ve still ticked off every type of shade I could ever want.

I chose colours from all my favourite formulas from Anastasia Beverly Hills (I mean come on, can you get better than the Modern Renaissance or Soft Glam), Urban Decay Naked Heat, HUDA Warm Brown Obsessions and Wet and Wild! And I think I created a pretty great little palette. I’ve got all my favourite oranges and browns, a stunning red, a chestnut and a grey toned black! I’m thinking every day and I’m thinking practical!

Zoeva Cocoa Blends – Beans Are White

Violet Voss Pro – Wine and Dine

HUDA Beauty Warm Brown Obsessions Palette – Purple

Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Palette – Red /Orange

Urban Decay Naked Heat – Hedevil

Anastasia Beverley Hills Modern Renaissance – Realgar

Wet and Wild Rose in the Air – Shade 10

Anastasia Beverley Hills Modern Renaissance – Burnt Orange

On an everyday I’m fairly lazy with eyeshadow and tend to blend an entire shade all over the lip (hence why there are a lot of shadows all in the same family of colours), and then I’ve added a few bolder, darker shades for the days I’m feeling a little bolder. And I couldn’t not have the Zoeva charcoal grey- it’s my favourite smokey shade of all time!

I’m not going to do this challenge for 8 consecutive days, for fear of getting repetitive, but I’ll be there every other day with the next one so keep your eyes out!

Let me know what your favourite matte shades are and what palettes you’d chose from? Or better yet, feel free to take on the challenge yourself would love to see what you would chose!
