My Makeup Bag | February 2018

I like doing these posts every month to give you an idea of products I am basically living in for the month. It doesn’t change drastically month in month, but I still thought you’d want to know. Obviously the eagle eyed of you would realise this makeup would not actually fit in this makeup bag.. but that’s actually because I don’t do my makeup out of a makeup bag but straight from my whole collection… but I thought the makeup bag (which was from my M&S Advent Calendar) was gorgeous… so used it..

Base products at the moment seriously don’t change on a day to day, I literally use the same thing ALL THE TIME. I feel like I have mentioned these products WAY to many times, so I’ll just list them; Rimmel Lasting Finish Breathable Foundation, Bourjois Radiance Reveal Concealer, Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer, Max Factor Creme Bronzer in Light Gold.

The additions are the L’Oreal Infallible Concealer Pomade, I still haven’t decided if this is a staple, but it’s definitely pretty good and I’m currently using it to really see if I love it. And then I set everything down with the GOSH Prime + Set Loose Powder. I’ve never actually used this as a primer, honestly it doesn’t make sense as a primer, but as a loose setting powder it’s pretty awesome! For blush I’m just using one from Natural Collection, which is a super affordable brand sold at Boots. I think this is in their old packaging, but it’s a great simple blush shade. For highlighter recently I have actually been loving my Natural Collection Highlighter Stick in Rose Glow. I have been loving applying this with my finger tips. It’s a great wet look highlighter.. and I just love it!

For the eyes I’ve fallen back in love with my ZOEVA Cocoa Blends Palette, this is a stunningly beautiful palette that is pigmented, easy to blend, and just gorgeous. Also been loving the Revlon Colorstay Creme Eyeshadow in Creme Brulee to use on the inner third of the eye (I feel like I’ve spoken about this product SO much recently… I think it will be time to retire it for a little while after February is over. And then to finish off the eyes, I am really putting to test the Benefit Bad Girl BANG Mascara. Overall, I actually really like this mascara but it can be a little clumpy (read my full review here).

For brows I’ve been loving the NYX Precision Brow Pencil, I feel like this had big boots to fill and it’s doing really well! And then I’ve been setting everything down with the Maybelline Brow Drama Translucent Brow Gel – not sure if this is a repurchase for me.

I have been living in Liquid Lipsticks for months now… to such a state where my actual lipsticks really don’t get any loving any more. And one of my favourites of all time, and one I have been wearing a lot recently is the OFRA Liquid Lipstick in Charmed. This is a stunning, as much as I hate to say it, your lips but better shade. Super easy to wear, comfortable, easy to apply, beautiful.. just LOVE it!

And then I set everything down with my setting spray – the Revolution Setting Spray. I really want to try a new one, so do let me know your suggestions!

      1. oooh! Just had a look! Looks gorgeous!!! Now I want it! Haha! (Also, side note: it’s for some reason £1.50 cheaper on Beauty Bay/Cult Beauty than it is on Selfridges….)

      2. And free delivery with Beauty Bay! The new Mattes palette looks pretty too but not sure if the colours are a bit dark for everyday looks?…

      3. I don’t know.. the top shade is more subdued and everyday.. and then the bottom row is a little deeper. (although the purply shade in the middle of the bottom row is very very pretty) 🙂 not that I’m encouraging spending 😉

  1. That make up bag is so cute! I can’t remember the last time I used a bag for my makeup because it just doesn’t ever fit! I love your different products that you are using, I love the Zoeva eyeshadow palette I need to use mine more because the formula is amazing. Great post xo

    1. I know it’s adorable, a little small.. but great for travelling (makes you pack super light).
And I agree! The Zoeva eye shadow palettes are insane, this is the only black eyeshadow I’ve ever been able to successfully use!
