Where To Save Your Dosh! Drugstore Favourites

I am a massive fan of the drugstore! While over the past few years I’ve started to hoard more and more high end makeup, your local Superdrug and Boots are home to so many gems that are so affordable… you can’t go wrong! I’ve done a few of these over the past, but I wanted to share a few of my newer/current drugstore favs! So let’s save the rambling and get right into it…

Previous post: Top 10 Drugstore Products

Max Factor Face Finity All Day Flawless Foundation – £13.99

This has been my favourite foundation for a long time. While I have some high end foundations I have fallen in love with, this continues to be my favourite drugstore foundation. I don’t understand why people don’t talk about this more often! It’s got really good coverage, a decent shade range, it’s long lasting, has SPF and looks really nice on the skin. They’ve recently repackaged, but it’s still a classic and I will never stop getting this. Secret: this is actually an empty bottle and I had to get it out of the empties bag to show it!

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara – £8.99

Oh lash sensational! Where would the UK’s eyelashes be without you! Might be a bit predictable, but this is the best high street mascara ever. Hands down. Simple. Done. Let’s move on.

Max Factor Brow Shaper Ultrafine Shape Fill Define – £8.99

So Max Factor actually appears a lot on this list. I didn’t quite realise the obsession I have with this brand, but apparently it’s real! And this is my current brow product obsession! It’s super fine, the colour is amazing and I love how it has a spoolie on one end (I’m lazy ok?). The only negative thing about this is that you go through them SO fast!

NYX 3 Steps to Sculpt Palette – £10.50

I have hit pan on this product so hard (as I’m sure you can see). I have to say I never use the highlighter, but the other two products are amazing! The powder is finely milled and looks stunning on the skin. And the bronzer is the perfect tone. It’s also buildable and blendable and it looks really natural! Winner winner

Max Factor Creme Bronzer in Light Gold – £9.99

I’ve only just recently spoken about this so I’ll keep it brief, but I really felt like I couldn’t have a drugstore favs without it. This is an amazing everyday bronzer shade that looks super natural. And more Max Factor….

Body Shop Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder – £14

So mine has hard panned a bit, so I think I’ll need to head off and get another one soon. But it’s a stunning bronzer. It works really well with super pale skintones and the packaging (when it isn’t broken) is really cute!

GOSH 9 Shades in To Rock Down Under – £11.99

Gosh is such an underrated brand, like I feel NOBODY talks about it. Their lipsticks are pretty great, but what I really do love is their eyeshadow palettes. I have the purple one (To Enjoy in New York) which I’ve majorly dipped 3 shades in, and then this one is full of super warm fiery nudes and I’m obsessed! Also, their shimmers are the super buttery formula where they almost fall out of the pan and onto your eyes

Wet n Wild Rose in the Air Palette – £5.99

These palettes are hands down the best drugstore matte formula of all time. Really pigmented and easy to blend, they’re also a really great colour story. I only have one, but I love em!

Max Factor Honey Lacquer – £9.99

I promise this is the last Max Factor item! These are the most gorgeous lip gloss style liquid lip ever. I especially love the shade Chocolate Nectar. They’re pigmented with a great colour, but have the glossy finish. They’re fairly long lasting and fade really nicely! Obviously there’s a lot of transfer and they don’t last as long as you’re matte lipsticks, but they’re super comfy!

L’Oreal Paris Rouge Signature Matte Liquid Lipstick – £9.99

I think these are the find of last year! The dark berry shades are a little patchy, but what I really love from this range are the bright shades. This red shade I Am Worth It, and the bright pink (I Speak Up) are stunning! Really pigmented, comfortable on the lips and really really long lasting! If I ever lost one or finished one, I would be in Superdrug picking up a new one literally right away!

Rimmel The Only One Lipsticks – £5.49

So since taking these photos I’ve realised Rimmel have discontinued the matte side of this range (which is kind of tragic), but the ones in the black packaging are stilla round, and this is the shade Salty. I love these lipsticks, they apply really easily in one swipe. They last for a really long time. And they have the most stunning colours!

And that’s it! What are your favourite drugstore products… because I’d love to try em!

  1. Rimmel lipsticks are some of my favourites for an inexpensive option! I love The Body Shop bronzer too, still yet to the Max Factor one 🙂 xx

    1. Omg I know, they’re such a classic for the drugstore! they were some of the first lipsticks I ever fell in love with! And my Body Shop bronzer looks like it’s been through some wars! When I next pop in, I’m definitely going to pick up a new one! x
