Product Empties | May 2020

So it’s been a hot minute since I’ve done an empties video. But let’s face it with lock down and living with your partner for 2 months at his place, you naturally just use less products. However, I eventually got there and I’ve got a good round up of products to share with you.

I love empties blog posts because it’s a sure fire way to get people’s true opinions of things. Like they’ve used the entire product, so you’ve got past the first impressions (which can often be wrong), but you really know what you think!

So read on….

Batiste Dry Shampoo | oh Batiste, I have such a love affair for you! Your dry shampoo just works so much better than anything else I’ve ever tried and this Rose Gold scent is delicious and sweet! Although, I have to say, I do wait for them to be on offer before I buy them. Sorry not sorry.

Herbel Essences White Strawberry & Sweet Mint Shampoo and Conditioner | I have such a love affair with Herbel Essences that they pop up in every single empties. They smell amazing, they leave my hair looking healthy and they’re just so affordable. However, I would say it’s a sign of an apocalypse, but let’s not go there, but I think Ive found a new favourite, and I’ll share it with you this month I’m sure! So look out for that because it’s gotta be a special one!

Alberto Balsam Juicy Green Apple Conditioner | Who else sees this product and remembers their dreadfully cheesy adverts? I have to say, this is not a product I’d probably have purchased in a normal situation, but with the Superdrug and Boots near me both closed (they’re in a shopping centre), I didn’t really have a choice. Not a favourite, but it does smell tasty.

Champney’s Summer Dream Shower Gel | I think I received this as part of a Christmas gift set (omg how long ago does that feel now). It was a nice shower gel, and I have no real complaints, but not sure it’s one I’m going to be running out and repurchasing at any real speed

Mitchum Roll On Deodorant | Thought I’d try a roll on deodorant for a change… and while I enjoyed the product (and love their spray deodorant you know), there’s still so much product in it and it’s not coming out anymore. Just really frustrating!

Origins GinZing Moisturiser | I’ve had so many testers of this over the years and have enjoyed every single one of them. Like it’s a really nice, quick and easy moisturiser. Just a shame the price tag on the full sized product is just waaay to much for me!

Body Shop Almond Milk & Honey Hand Cream | Like it wouldn’t be an empties video of mine without a Body Shop product in it right? Kind of obsessed. And their hand creams are really lovely! I really love their ones that come in the metallic style packaging, but these ones are also amazing!

Bee Lovely Hand Cream | I feel bad for saying this, but I wasn’t actually that impressed by this hand cream. Like it was nice and it did the job, but I wasn’t like ‘wooow’, maybe it’s because it followed the Body Shop one, or maybe the whole washing your hands and moisturising them every five seconds thing is getting to me. Who knows.

The Body Shop Almond Milk & Honey Body Butter | Who doesn’t love a Body Shop body butter. They’re iconic. Amazing. Great formulas. Delicious scents. Can I just be a Body Shop ambassador already?

Superdrug Face Washes | Like these are cheap and cheerful, but they do a great shop for removing makeup when I’m being really really lazy!

Colgate Total Advanced Gum Toothpaste | Don’t always include toothpaste in these things, but for someone who loves a Colgate toothpaste, I did not like this one. Had an odd taste. Wouldn’t repurchase.

Body Shop Lipstick in Devotion | It’s not often you finish a lipstick, but this one is amazing! This is clearly in the old packaging, and so potentially an old formula, but I love this lipstick so much! Such a shame it’s now over… so TopShop can you open again please so I can go have a look at the new ones?

GOSH Brow Gel | Since this finished, I’m now without a brow gel, but this is definitely the one I use! Easy and does the job

Max Factor Brow Shaper | Can you tell I’ve basically been doing my brows and nothing else in this lockdown? This has become my new brow obsession, it’s super fine making it really easy to use and it matches my brow colour perfectly. Only downside? You go through them very fast!

And there you go, the products I’ve used up over the last few months! What have you used up? Or what would you recommend? Would love to know!

  1. The Body Shop have so many good products, my empties wouldn’t be the same without one of them making an appearance either haha. The Almond Milk & Honey range smells really nice and I love that it caters for sensitive skin, it’d be nice to see more ranges from them that are specifically targeted for sensitive skin too 🙂

  2. First I’m terrible at finishing beauty products 😂😂😂 the only product here that I can boldly say I finished is Colgate toothpaste…
