Max Factor Honey Lacquer Glosses Review and Swatches

For those of you who know me, I’m not usually a fan of glosses. I find their colour payoff is a bit meh, they’re usually a bit too shiny, and they feel sticky on my lips (and with super long hair, I find I spend half my day pulling my hair from my lips). However, I have to give it to Max Factor, I have never been more impressed with a range of lip glosses.

Max Factor have released a range of Honey Lacquers, at £9.99 each (so not too expensive). They come in a beautiful range of shades, with some beautiful nudes, and a nice arrange of more bolder shades. There’s not a single shade in here I won’t use.

The shades (swatched above from left to right): Indulgent Coral, Floral Ruby, Blooming Berry, Regal Burgundy, Chocolate Nectar, Honey Nude, Honey Lilac, Honey Rose

The formula is pigmented, with a high gloss finish, which I actually quite enjoy. They feel super balmy on the lips, and so unbelievably comfortable. They’re easy to apply, but I would recommend using a lip liner for some of the brighter shades because it can be difficult to get the edges looking sharp. Their longevity on their own is only a few hours, and they come off with eating/drinking, but when paired with a lipliner, they last for a lot longer. Then again, they are a gloss, so I wouldn’t expect the longest lasting formula.

They’re not thick and gloopy, and I didn’t find my hair was getting stuck to my lips! Which is a great pro. I actually love these, and I’ve been wearing Honey Nude and Chocolate Nectar almost daily since I started using them!

Have you tried these? If so, what are your thoughts?
