Advent Calendar Haul | Week 3

All the skincare and makeup bits I got in my beauty advent calendars
All the skincare and makeup bits I got in my beauty advent calendars

This is the last week of advent calendar hauls, and, I have to say, I’m definitely going to miss them. So enjoy the last one.

All the skincare and makeup bits I got in my beauty advent calendars

The Body Shop Advent Calendar

British Rose Body Butter – Full size product, which is super exciting. The Body Shop body butters are beautifully luxurious. For their price range, I don’t think anything compared.

Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Charcoal Mask – I was actually going to buy this the other day, but decided against it. And now I see it was a good decision, I got one on my advent calendar! Result!

British Rose Body Scrub – I love the body shop scrubs also, so this is a definite win for me.

Oils of Life Facial Oil – Such an incredible product, it gets raved about so much. I’ve never used a facial oil, but I guess it’s never too late to start.

Kajal Matte Liner – I have never got round to using an eyeliner like this before. However, everything I’ve tried from the Body Shop makeup range has been amazing, so I have high hopes for this.

Spiced Apple Shower Gel – Body Shop shower gels are actually really expensive, but they smell divine. I can’t wait to try this!

Oils of Life Sleeping Cream – I think ‘sleeping cream’ is a fancy way of saying night cream. I have so many face creams now… whoops.. but I still look forward to trying this!

Clear Brow & Lash Gel – I’m currently using the PIXI one I got out of the M&S Advent Calendar in week 1, and it’s great, but it doesn’t last all day. So I will try this and compare the two!

Lip Liner in Pink Clover – Such a beautiful colour, and it feels really comfy on the lips. The only downside is that it needs sharpening.. and I’m very lazy.

Body Shop Duel Ended Eye Brush – A great brush for travelling as it has everything you need to create that really lovely smokey eye.

Eyelash Curler & Sleeping Mask – I feel like these were sort of filler products, and I have to say, I have no need for either of them. But, some people might.

M&S Advent Calendar

Rituals Ritual of Sakura Body Cream – I already own one of these, and it’s a really luxurious, yet still light, moisturiser. It’s great for everyday, and I feel like it would be great in the Summer months; when you don’t want anything that’s too heavy,

Percy & Reed Wonder Balm – Another product for your hair (my hair is going to be complete goals by the end of the month). Can’t wait to try this, Percy & Reed are an incredible brand, so I have high hopes for it!

Philip Kingsley Elasticizer – I tried this before, and I have to say I wasn’t all that impressed. I’ll give it another go, just incase I was in a bad mood that day… haha

Leighton Denny Mini Crystal Nail File – Since receiving a crystal nail file a few weeks ago, I think I’ve fallen in love. And now to have a mini, handbag sized one, this is actually perfect for me.

REN Global Protection Day Cream – What a fancy way of saying a day cream. Anyway, REN products are always lovely, so I look forward to trying this.

PUR Correcting Primer – I literally have so many testers of primers now, they’re coming out of my ears (ok, maybe not quite so literal as that…). So, I’m not sure when I’ll get round to using this, but I’m sure it’s lovely….

Rosie For Autograph Lip Glossy in Super Model Smile – This is b-e-a-u-tiful. And be sure to find it in a favourites in the not so distant future. It’s really comfy on the lips, and it looks stunning!

Shay & Blue Fragrance – I’ve never tried anything from this brand before, but it smells divine (I’m not good at fragrances, so don’t expect a description).

Studio 10 Miracle Effect Priming Serum – Another primer, seriously guys, this is getting out of hand.

Formula Ultimate Sleep Cream – Ditto with the face creams, I have more of these than I know what to do with. But they’ll all come in handy when I’m a broke student without enough money to buy face creams/primers/lip balms.

Burts Bees Lip balm – I feel like you can’t go wrong with a Burts Bees lip balm. Possibly not the most exciting thing to receive, but they’re reliable and work, so I guess you can’t really complain.

You Beauty Advent Calendar

MUA Eye Palette in Dusk Til Dawn – I actually think this palette has a weird arrangement of colours. However, these eyeshadow palettes are actually exceptional quality considering they’re only £4 new!

White Company Candle in Orange Grove – This is a slightly sweet, but still citrisy smell. It also just looks posh…

Carmex Lip Balm – Carmex; another lip balm brand who know what they’re on about.

Radial Smokey Eye Pen in Black –  Not a massive fan of kohl eyeliners, but I’ll be sure to try this out.

Miller Harris Eau de Parfume – Another beautiful smelling fragrance. It’s a great way to try new fragrances without committing to the entire bottle.

Malin + Goetz Vitamin E Face Moisturiser – This is my favourite moisturiser. Of all time. Ever. In the existence of human life… ok maybe that was a little ott. But, it’s a lightweight moisturiser, that sits well under makeup, that makes your face feel and look so happy and healthy.

Sanctuary Spa Foaming Micellar Water – I now have a lot of products from Sanctuary Spa (as I own an advent calendar from them), but everything I’ve tried I love, so I can’t really complain. And I think the concept of a micellar water than foams are pretty cool.

Vintage Cosmetics Duo Pencil Sharpener – May sound dull, but I do actually need a pencil sharpener for my makeup items right now, so can’t really complain. And it’s cute.

Charles Worthington Leave in Conditioner – You also got a money off voucher for Boots, so it’s like two presents in one. But I love a good leave in conditioner, so I’ll put this to the test and tell you my thoughts in an empties over on my YouTube channel!

Amie Deep Pore Exfoliating Polish – I love trying new face washes (I don’t really know why). And so, I can’t wait to try this!

Look Fantastic Advent Calendar

Molton Brown Shower Gel in Pink Peppered – OMG I’ve wanted to try Molton Brown for ages and so I’m so excited to try this! Literally so excited. It also smells amazing!

Ole Henrickson Clean Truth Cleansing Cloths – Face wipes are really my guilty pleasure. For those nights when I’m feeling super lazy they’re a life saver. So I’m super happy to have some more!

Dermalogical Daily Microfoliant – This is a really unusual product, and I’ve never seen anything like it before. It’s a powder that you mix with water to form a paste, and then you use that to tone your skin. Weird right?! But pretty cool.

Bellapierre Gel Eye Liner – I had my hopes really high when I got this, because I love gel eyeliners. But, when I opened it, it had the texture of a kohl eyeliner that had been heated up (you know the pinterest hack…), and so I’m a little let down. But, I’m sure it’ll be lovely.

Purminerals Impact+ Mascara – The smallest mascara tube ever, so it would be perfect for travelling.

NUXE Prodigious Oil Gold – This looks so luxurious and posh, I’m sort of scared to use it; is that sad? Maybe. But, seriously, look at it!

Redken One United Hair Treatment – Redken are one of those brands I always hear about, but never actually see. So, I feel like this is a great product to try.

Balance Me Wonder Eye Cream – Eye creams are now another product I have a lot of. But, I seem to love every product I receive, and hate all the ones I buy… so… I’m sure I’ll love it…

Look Good Feel Better Eye Shading Brush – This brush feels amazingly soft, so I’m sure it will be amazing. And I can’t wait to try it!

Coding Mask Micro Peeling Mask – Mask? love… A peeling mask?! I’m literally over the moon. I’m still yet to try this, but I cannot wait.

Illamasque Eye Shadow Palette – I think I died a little inside when I got this. Not out of disappointment, but shock. I can’t believe this was in the advent calendar. That is incredible!!!! It’s perfect, it’s stunning. And OMG OMG OMG!

Sanctuary Spa Advent Calendar

Heart Cookie Cutter – Possibly a pointless gift. However, I used mine to make cookies with on the next day. So, for me, it was the perfect gift, timed on the correct day…

Exfoliating Gloves – I’m not one for using exfoliating gloves, and I have to say I prefer the ones in the body shop. But, I’m sure I’ll get round to using them.

Stick – What?! Just what?!

Gentle Polish Body Scrub – I actually don’t have any body scrub at the moment. So I’m using this at the moment. It’s a lovely gentle scrub that foams up as you apply it. The scent is subtle, but nice, and it’s a really nice body scrub.

Foaming Micellar Water – See above point.

Wonder Body – I’m still not entirely sure what this is. From reading the back of the packet I get the impression it’s a BB cream for your body (as in it perfects, evens skin tone, and all that jazz).

Radiance Exfoliator  – I’m sort of running out of things to say (awkward), but it’s another product I can’t wait to try.

Cleansing Burst Body Wash – For some reason, when you take a normal product (like a body wash) and add in bursting beads, it instantly makes it more exciting.

Green Lemon & Orange Blossom Body Wash – This smells divine. And, I have to say, when this is over, I will probably go out and find it. It smells so fresh, but still somewhat sweet. Beautiful.

Velvety Hand Cream – I actually love receiving hand creams, it’s one of those things I’ve never purchased, but owned loads of.

No.7 Advent Calendar

Beautiful Skin Eye Makeup Remover – All the No.7 skin care I’ve tried has been awesome, and their toner that I tried a few years ago was incredible. So I have very high hopes for this one.

Midnight Lash Mascara – I’m saving this for when I’ve used up some of my current mascaras on the go. Because I don’t want them all to go out of date. So, I will let you know about this in a few months.

Angled Brush – These little No.7 brushes are so cute, and so I won’t complain with another one.

Lipstick in Pilarbox – The lipstick is the one you open on Christmas day. And it’s the perfect Christmas red. Plus, No.7 lipsticks are amazing!

Protect & Perfect Hand Cream – Another tiny little hand cream (it’s actually with me in Bedfordshire now). It feels amazing and it’s just really cute.

No.7 Beautiful Skin Body Milk – Oooh body milk sounds more like food; or more strictly a drink, but you get what I mean. This is a really watery body moisturiser, that feels super light.

Blusher in Apricot Blossom – I theoretically got this last week. There was a little card to say you could have a free blusher. Which is pretty awesome, and this colour is said to suit all skin tones, so I thought it was the perfect one to chose.

Nail Polish in Metallic Gold – This colour is beautiful. It’s a gold that reflects copper. It’s stunning, and a really unusual shade. Perfect!

Nail Polish in Red – Another cranberry shade (I already have a few of these this month already). But these shades are stunning.

Eyeshadow in Truffle – This colour is right up my street. A shimmery cocoa coloured brown. Stunning.

Eyeshadow in Starry Lights – This shade is a little odd. It’s a a matte white. I don’t tend to use a shimmer white, but I will work with it and see how it goes.

So, this is this advent over. I look forward to next year. And Merry Christmas!
