Review | Typology Paris | Full Skincare Routine

Most of the time I try skincare and I sit so on the fence about it… and then sometimes I try skincare and I feel so strongly one way or another about it. I recently (and by recently I mean a few months back, so I took the photos and then left them while I tried everything out) a full 6 step skincare routine from Typology and… I’m kinda obsessed! Can’t wait to talk you through everything

Products are gifted, but there was no obligation to post and all opinions are my own.

First things first, you take a survey to find your exact skin type and they create a skincare routine based around your needs – which I found immensely helpful as I suffer with both dry skin and breakouts! My skincare type is AE(-)

7-Ingredient Cleansing Oil

This is such a lovely and gentle oil. It removes makeup like it’s nothing and doesn’t remotely sting your eyes or dry out your skin. You barely have to use much product, mix it with a bit of lukewarm family and the makeup just melts off… I feel like this is one of those products in this lineup that I’m going to be repurchasing for a long time.

Hydrating Cleansing Bar With Palmarosa

This is one of those products that took a little time to love. Described as a hydrating face and body soap with 8% fatty acids, this is one of those products that leaves your skin feeling clean by so hydrated. It’s really not very good at removing makeup, but as a second cleanser and morning cleanser it’s the dream! Also, it gives me a reason to use my soap dish!

Price: £9.90

Organic Orange Blossom Hydrolate

This is a toner that revives radiance and helps to regenerate the skin. Which, for someone who suffers with dull looking skin, this is just perfect. Can’t say it’s one of those toners that I can honestly say I can’t live without, but I did enjoy it!

Price: £9.80

Targeted Blemish Serum – 2% Salicylic Acid + 1% Zinc

Wow this serum is magic… if you catch the spot at just the right time it stops it from properly developing and so scaring. It works by using anti-bacterial actives to treat spots and localised breakouts. This is one of those products that is now a staple in my routine!

Price: £19.90

Unifying Serum – 12% Niacinamide

More of an all round spot treatment, this works to reduce imperfections and soothes the redness caused by blemishes. At the same time, the serum smoothes and refines skin texture. It’s just an overall good egg. Not one of those serums that you instantly see an improvement when using, but one that you notice when you stop.

Price: £23.70

Dry Skin Serum – 100% Squalane

In a few words, this serum hydrates. Now there’s some technical talk for you- haha! But, joking aside, this leaves your skin feeling so soft and hydrated… it’s has such a lovely texture when you apply it! I feel like it’s the lest effective and complex of the three serums, but then it is the cheapest, so that does make sense.

Price: £13.90

Nourishing moisturiser – 1% Hyaluronic Acid + Shea Butter

This is one of those moisturisers that is simultaneously think and thin. Weird huh? But all in all it’s a really lovely moisturiser that doesn’t feel too heavy but feels like it really is giving you all the moisture you need.

Price: £21.50

Hydrating Night Serum – Botanical Blend With Papyrus

This is described as ‘a papyrus, borage and squalane overnight oil to boost hydrate and regenerate the skin while you sleep.’ And that’s about right… it feels and looks much like an oil, but seems to have the benefit of a serum meeting an oil,

Price: £21.80

And there you have it… have you tried Typology? If so, what did you think?

  1. I’ve never heard of this brand but I like that they have a spot/acne treatment (which I’ve found is usually missing from grouped skincare products — or I’m just looking in the wrong place). Thanks for sharing this!

  2. Love this! I hadn’t heard of typology before but it looks amazing so I’ll have to have a look. I really love the sound of their spot treatments in particular, my skin’s usually fairly clear but I do have the odd breakout and those products look like they could really help with that! Thanks for sharing, this was really helpful x

  3. I’m really happy to read your review of these products as I have also been kindly gifted them all. I haven’t been able to try them yet as I’m struggling with some skin problems and want my skin to heal before I test new products, but I’m really looking forward to it. Thanks for sharing, great review!
