January Favourites & Project 10 Pan Update

It feels like a year since I did a monthly favourites, but I thought I’d mix it up a little. So my monthly favourites will follow the following format; traditional favourites (i.e. a list of things I’m loving, be they beauty, TV shows or otherwise), a monthly blog update (in terms of stats, popular posts etc as I find these immensely helpful) and a project 10 pan update!

So let’s just get cracking…

January Favourites

Charlie Betty Beauty The Earth Palette

I mentioned this in a recent blog post and I’m head over heels, cross my heart and hope to die obsessed! This has the most gorgeous array of greens, yellows and earthy tones and they’re super pigmented and easy to work with! And to add to the whole thing, it’s a small local England based business.

Elf Bitesized Palettes

I only reviewed this on Sunday, but I have been using them all month! I particularly love Hot Jalapeno and Cream & Sugar. These are gorgeous little travel-friendly (you know, because of all the travelling I did in the last month) palettes that are only £3! Winner winner

Benefit Roller Liner Eyeliner (in Brown)

Not only do I love this eyeliner, in fact it’s pretty good, but I’ve recently become obsessed with brown eyeliner in particular! It’s much softer (especially at the moment when you’re only doing makeup for yourself) and suits my much lighter complexion!

Instagram

I became obsessed with Instagram over December… like completely obsessed! I’m really enjoying it over there both on stories and on the grid and I love that community I’m building over there! Just love love love, you can find me at @katieemmabeauty

Summer Fridays Overtime Mask

Packed with vitamin-rich pumpkin, apricot seed powder, oat kernel protein and vitamin E, this clarifying mask gently exfoliates dull, congested skin to reveal the dreamiest, most luminous glow. And it’s such a great pickmeup for my skin!

Vieve The Essential Palette

I mean I cannot wait to see what Vieve launch in Feb, when their next product launch is supposed to happen! But I LOVE this palette. It’s super pigmented, buttery and super duper easy to work with! Probably my favourite palette in my collection right now and part of my project 10 pan, so probably a good job I’m loving it!

Amazon Prime – The Boys

I’ve been recommended this by some of my followers on Instagram and I can’t recommend it enough! It follows the story of what superheroes would realistically be like in the real world. They’re pretty power hungry and a lot of things they do need to be hidden by their managers, but there’s also some comic elements in there and I’m really enjoying it!

Blogging Update

January was an incredible month on my blog! I really found my feet and my passion again and I think it came through in my content and so across in my views and engagement. Though, as someone who’s been in and out of this game for a long time, I thought I’d share with you my realistic, honest and to some people dreadful and to others amazing results that I achieved over the month of January

Blog Views: 4,141

Instagram Following : +1,905 over January, meaning my following at the end of the month was 5,395

Total social & blog following: 9,159, up from 6,965

Most popular ‘old’ blog post: New | Revlon Super Lustrous Matte Lipsticks

PR Received: 1 eyeshadow palette, 1 tooth whitening, 1 from tweezerman and 1 nutrients (and I said no to a lot of others!)

Project 10 Pan Update

As you can see, I’ve made some pretty good progress on the likes of my Honey Dew Me Up Primer and my Soap & Glory One Heck of a Blot powder and my Dior Foundation has gone from 49g to 47g… so you know life changing amounts! All in all I’ve really enjoyed it! It’s been a little slow off the mark, with me having a week in bed ill, I’m currently doing an eyeshadow palette series on my stories at the moment on Instagram which means I keep getting distracted, and it’s a little hard right now to find the inspiration to get dressed everyday.. but all in all not to bad for results. But I’m hoping to see a few more pans popping up in February so I’ll keep you posted!

But here’s a look I created with them that I’m pretty chuffed with;

But all in all I really hope you enjoyed my content this month and I can’t wait to create more content for you over February! And here’s to hoping we have an end date for this lockdown!
