June Empties | Skincare, Haircare, Makeup

Oh empties! Hands down my favourite blog posts to write and probs even my favourite blog posts to read! I love to know what people think of a product after they’ve finished the entire product! And I have about a million of them over on my channel. At the end of every month I’m always slightly embarrassed about just how many products I’ve finished. But this is life. I’m in lockdown and bored. And I love to look after my body.

So here we go!

Garnier Ultimate Blends Hair Food Banana | This smells so strongly of banana! Which I kinda loved! It’s a nice hair mask. Left your hair feeling and looking soft and healthy. Not sure I’d say it’s the favourite hair mask I’ve ever tried (my favourite one is actually discontinued… eurgh), but it’s still great. And I’ve had this in the shower for months as it’s the world’ biggest box!

Maui Revive & Hydrate + Shea Butter Shampoo & Conditioner | I’m now obsessed with this brand. Designed for girls with curly hair, I also find this works really nicely for my straight by frizzy hair! My hair has never felt softer or looked shinier and urgh! Love it!

Provoke Touch of Silver Colour Care Shampoo | I’m a fan of this range for keeping on top of your brassy tones in your bleached hair. But I hate the smell.. can’t explain why!

Body Shop Satsuma Shower Gel (medium & mini) | Oh Body Shop….. my one true love in skincare! Thought I’d clump them all in together! This is probably my favourite scent alongside the strawberry one. And I bought one of the massive ones with the pumps in the 50% sale, so excited for that!

Body Shop Almond Milk & Honey Shower Gel | Ooo this was lovely! Felt really gentle on the skin and smelled much more subtle and less fruity than the other ranges at Body Shop!

Body Shop British Rose Body Butter | I love the Body Shop body butters. Not sure I’d repurchase this scent, but 100% would repurchase more body butters. Right Body Shop fan girling over.

Garnier Micellar Water | This is literally the only micellar water I use! I’ve tried a handful of others over the years, but this is just the best. And super affordable. And the bottle lasts for ages!

Sanctuary Spa Body Scrub | Such a lovely gentle body scrub! Foams nicely! Not sure I’d run out and buy one tomorrow, but did the job.

NIVEA Invisible Anti-Perspirant | I mean it’s summer, I need anti-perspirant. Need I say more?

Co Op 3 in 1 Cleansing Wipes | Ngl. Was not impressed by these. The Superdrug and Boots own brand ones are better!

Garnier Skin Active Moisture Bomb | Sometimes my skin just looks like it needs a moisture boost and these masks are perfect for that!

Listerine Total Care Mouthwash | I kind of only use these on the go (hence the tiny bottle) as my dentist always told me not to use them after toothpaste. But I’m allergic to a lot of mouthwashes, and this one is one of the few that I don’t have a reaction to. And when I’m out and eaten smelly food, it does the job. So..

Yankee Candle Berry Trifle | Every time I try another candle it just solidifies how great these are! They smell so strongly of whatever scent they are, burn fairly evenly and the packaging is cute! Love this scent too!

Rose & Co Hand Cream | So this isn’t strictly speaking empty. But I tried my best. I hated this hand cream. It was too thick and sticky and felt really heavy. Nope. Not for me.

Zelens Transformer Instant Renewal Mask | This is one of those samples you only get one use out of. And it was perfectly nice. But can’t really comment too much, because I like to use a product more than once to make a verdict you know!

Origins Clear Improvement Charcoal Mask | On the other side of the spectrum, this sample actually has a few uses out of it. Origins is one of those skincare brands I haven’t actually tried much of, but I hear great things and this product was truly amazing! So maybe I’ll give it a go…!

Ciate Fierce Flicks Eyeliner | Mine actually broke. When I pull the lid off it takes the nip and everything off with it and you’re looking at the ink pot. Weird. Anyhow, when this was useable it was really lovely! Black eyeliner that applied really easily and black and didn’t smudge too bad.

Wunder2 Wunderkiss Essential Lip Scrub | Despite knowing nothing about this brand I actually really enjoyed this lip scrub! Gentle, but just enough, easy and mess free, no scent, no offensive taste. And from a quick google not too expensive.

Max Factor Brow Shaper | My favourite brow pencil. Thin, perfect colour match for me, has a spoolie on the end, gives me that natural full brow look Can’t go wrong, except you go through them really fast.

Soap and Glory Supercat | This is my favourite drugstore eyeliner and I’ve been through a lot of them! One of those products who just quietly does their job with no fuss!

Maybelline Superstar Foundation | I loved this foundation! A slightly heavier and matter formula than I normally go for, but beautiful nonetheless. Not sure it’s a summer foundation, but next Winter I’ll definitely pick this back up

Dr Paw Paw Multipurpose Balm | Think this is actually my favourite lip balm!

There you go. Another month down. Another empties post.

  1. The Maui Shea shampoo and conditioner sound lush, bet they smell good too! Can’t go wrong with products from The Body Shop, haven’t tried the rose range but love the strawberry and shea scents! Well don on everything you finished up xx

  2. I really enjoyed this empties edition. I am a big fan of the body shop satsuma range, its so refreshing and perfect for this summer season. Great blog post and wonderful shots too.

    1. OMG they just had a sale and I picked up a few goodies. Somehow (despite being home all day) missed the delivery, so I’ll have to go to the post office, but excited nonetheless!

  3. Wow, you finished off so many different products! There can never be too much Body Shop fangirling and the satsuma scent is definitely one of my favourites, along with grapefruit. Loved reading through this.
