Matte lipsticks are literally taking over the World. Barry M are one of my favourite brands (mainly for nail polishes), and they have recently launched their new lipstick formula. Superdrug currently stock 6 in store, but there are 23 in total on the Barry M website ranging from purple, pink, red, to nude.

They come at the cost of £4.99 which, to be honest, is a complete steal. They come in a beautifully sleek, black packaging which is both elegant and simple, yet surprisingly cool. Also each of the lipsticks come with BM engraved in it, which is awesome!

The 6 lipstick shades I have are 178-182.

178 is a purple wine colour. It probably has the worst formula of the bunch, it’s a little thick. However, it’s still a lovely wintery colour.

169 is a poppy colour red. It has that classic youthfulness about it. It’s actually a really pretty colour.

170 has a stunning colour payoff. It’s that pink toned brown that has been taking over the world. This one is pigmented in one swipe.

171 is a pink. Slightly too garish for me, and probably not one I’ll be wearing a lot. but it’s still a pretty pink.

172 is a pale caramel nude. It’s pretty but not entirely my colour choice.

173 is another of the super pigmented nudes. This is more on the pink side, and is a really pretty colour.

I think these lipsticks are a great price, but if you’re looking for a colour, I would say go into a store and swatch them, because they’re not entirely consistent across the range. Which sucks a little. But, 170 is a stunning colour, and definitely one that I will be wearing everyday! Plus, they’re super matte!

Have you tried these? If so, what do you think?
