The High End Makeup Products You Need To Try!

Must Buy High End Makeup

I used to be such a drugstore nut and I used to write post after post about why expensive products are not worth it! However, boy have I changed my tune! I spent 2018 & 2019 really investing in some high end makeup and I couldn’t love them more! A lot of my favourite products are now from high end makeup brands and very much worth the investement.

But I know the frustration of buying an expensive product and regretting it almost instantly, so I’m here to try and stop you from making that mistake! So here are my favourites…

IT CC Cream – £32

I am pretty much obsessed with this product! It’s a medium coverage base which covers up redness effortlessly! It’s not the best to cover up spots and other coloured marks, but I’m lucky that’s not something I suffer with. It looks beyond natural on the skin, lasts well and to round the whole thing off it has SPF50 in it making it perfect for this time of year! I also kinda love the packaging, and not entirely sure why!

MAC Studio Fix Fluid – £27

I took my sweet time getting onto this bandwagon, but I’m so glad I have. It’s a great all round foundation! Buildable, incredible shade range, easy to blend, long lasting, looks really nice on the skin. The only annoying thing is you have to buy the pump separately- like seriously what is this- but putting that aside, love this foundation!

Charlotte Tilbury Instant Look in a Palette – £49

This is one of those products that sounds expensive, but when you quantify it with the amount of product you’re getting it’s actually kind of a bargain! And also, these products just are beautiful! You’ve got the film star bronzer and highlighter, three beautiful soft eyeshadows and two blushes. It creates the most effortless and classy look and this palette is perfect for travel!

NARS Blushes – £25

Can you get more iconic than a NARS blush? I felt like it took time for me to really fall in love with blushes, but now I have, this is one of my favourites (in the shade orgasm). The packaging is one of my favourite things about it, even if it does get excessively dirty.

MAC Lipsticks – £17.50

I have a handful of colours in the different textures, but there is just something special about a MAC lipstick. Their bullet shaped packaging is gorgeous and the colour range is exhaustive! And there is something about the scent of a MAC lipstick that is just perfect!

NARS Velvet Lip Glide – £23

I only have one shade from the range (in Burning Love), but I love it! One of the most pigmented liquid lips out there, this is a super comfortable long lasting semi-matte formula! Just stunning!

OFRA Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick – £15.50

One of the only lipsticks I’ve ever finished (and then repurchased), this shade in Charmed is a classic everyday lipstick shade! The formula is super comfortable and easy to apply and I love the super sweet scent!

Urban Decay Naked Heat – £43

So, as I’m sure you’re fed up of me saying, I’m obsessed with a warm neutral and this is one of the best warm neutral palettes out there! Full of fiery tones in a mixture of matte and shimmer finishes this is a stunning palette! The packaging is a little clunky, but it doesn’t bother me much!

HUDA Warm Brown Obsessions – £25

This was pretty much the only style of HUDA Beauty palette I could afford, but I really wanted to try their formula and I’m really glad I have. While the matte shades are beautiful, the thing that really blows you away in this palette is that gold shimmer shade in the middle. It’s truly one of the most stunning shimmer shades I have ever felt and it looks beautiful! Ugh, getting excited thinking about it!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Palettes – £43-46

I collect them together because I have a few! They’re some of the most gorgeous palettes out there. And let’s face it, they look really cute all lined up together in their felt packaging! Their mattes are pigmented and blendable and their shimmers really pack some punch!

Juvia’s Place The Masquerade Mini – £25.95

I feel like I NEED to try more from this brand. These eyeshadows are truly stunning! The most pigmented shades potentially of any eyeshadows I’ve ever tried these are a must for anyone’s collection. And I love how this palette has a smattering of warm neutrals and hot bright colours!

And there you go, some of my utter favourites! I’ve become such a love of high end makeup now that I’ve become a bit of an addict! However, I’m always up for trying new things, so let me know your favourites in the comments!

  1. I really wanted to like my it cosmetics foundation too but it always teetered between smelling like oranges and vomit!? So weird! And you’ve got a good selection! I think the good thing about buying higher end is 1. you’ll buy lesser 2. you actually appreciate each product more!

  2. I love the IT Cosmetics CC Cream too and since I finished it up last week I’ve moved on to using MAC’s Studio Fix Fluid, how funny we have the same foundations and are using them recently haha. I have a mini of NARS Orgasm and it is such a beautiful blush! MAC lipsticks are some of my favourite shades in my collection, they get a lot of love and they deserve it because the formulas and shades last so well 🙂 I purchased my first Naked palette (Naked 2) last week and I can’t wait to use it, I’m doing a challenge this year where I use a different palette per month so I’m not sure when I’ll get to it 😛

      1. They are great, well loved products though! I hadn’t intended to do a post about the palettes but perhaps I will do a round up at the end of the year 🥰
