So we all know I was a massive fan of the Smashbox Photofinish Foundation Primer. It was my go to primer for many years. However, I decided to take a break and try some new products… and so in its absence I thought I’d try one of it’s infamous dupes; the ELF Mineral Infused Face Primer.
At £7.50 a pop it’s definitely cheaper than the Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer. The packaging is actually quite attractive if a little deceptive (there’s actually not a lot of product in here). But there is something quite luxurious about it.
This primer is another one of those who claims to reduce redness… really not sure this does much either.
One thing this primer does do though is minimise pores. It gives you that flawless, smooth finish that lets foundation glide over the top. It helps reduce creasing in your base (especially noticeable around the mouth and under the eyes). Though doesn’t massively prolong the wear of makeup. It has a silky finish that feels gorgeous on the skin.
Overall, a really good primer and definitely one I’m going to keep hold of
Have you tried this? If so, what did you think?

I’ve tried the purple one! Thought it wasn’t too bad for a ‘cheaper’ primer. Trying to find a good one for my skin at the moment though, I just purchased a Maybelline one so will see how that goes. Thanks for sharing, great review 😌
