A topic that’s almost there at the front of people’s minds when they purchase a product, but it still feels like price and accessibility just have that winning jump at the last hurdle – Cruelty Free makeup. It’s a sticky subject, some brands are cruelty free, but their parent companies aren’t. Most brands who sell products in the UK don’t test on animals, but the same brand has to test on animals to sell in China… oh it’s just a sticky subject.
And while I tried to do my research, don’t come at me if there’s a convoluted way why these brands aren’t cruelty free, I tried my best – it’s super confusing!
Anyhow, now we’ve got that out the way, I thought it was worth sharing with you my favourite cruelty free makeup favs… part 2. A lot of my part 1 favourites (read here) are still very much favourites, very much in my day to day makeup looks. But, for the sake of not repeating myself, but sharing with you some new favs in this category, I thought I would share with you my part 2!
Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipsticks | These lipsticks are gorgeous! There’s a reason why they have a cult classic status… they’re classic. The colours they have are gorgeous, the formula is amazing, and while they don’t necessarily ‘stay all day’, they last a really long time!
Laritzy Contour Stick | Don’t know too much about this brand, but I’ve been super impressed by this stick! It’s a really good contour stick that blends like a dream and is the perfect colour!
H&M Eyeshadows | These shadows are GORGEOUS! They’re pigmented, blendable and the packaging is gorgeous! I NEED to try more from this brand!
HUDA Beauty Palettes | So, there’s not escaping that these things are expensive! However, they really are gorgeous! Mega mega pigmented, super blendable and the colours are just GORGEOUS!
NYX 3 Steps to Sculpt | The powder and bronzer in this palette is stunning! The perfect colours and formulas. Not the biggest fan of the highlighter in this palette, but don’t even care!
Revolution Conceal & Define Concealer | I mean I feel like I should include the entire Revolution brand here, they are (all in all) an incredible brand! However, this concealer is a find! I feel like it’s a little like Marmite, it’s easier a favourite or a miss, but I’m definitely in the favourite camp! Stunning!
Wet n Wild Eyeshadow Palettes | I NEED to try more from this brand! But this palette is stunning! For the price point I really don’t feel you can do better and it’s a real contender in the entire eyeshadow product range (including BOTH drugstore & high end)
Morphe Jacqueline Hill Palette | I mean the vault may be good, but this is a classic. A true, tried and tested classic. And I really do just love it!
Real Techniques/NYX/Eco Tools Brushes | I pair them all together because they all make exceptional brushes and they’re all cruelty free! Onto a winner there!
What’s your fav cruelty free makeup item?
Katie x

I was quite skeptical about the hm collection but after reading your review, we’ll, I might give it a try
I can only vouch for the eyeshadows, but love them! And I think it’s Tati on YouTube who loves the whole range..! x

Aww thanks 😊
I enjoy the E.L.F. matte palette, nude one I believe. Cruelty free, easy application, and neutral colours.
Ooh I saw that in Superdrug the other day, but didn’t buy it… might have to now 😉 x
