So, as you may or may not be aware. I am IN LOVE with the Rimmel Kate Moss Lipsticks. They are by far my favourite drugstore lipsticks. Their colour selection is beautiful, they’re pigmented, they last forever and they have an amazing subtle scent. So, when I found out Rimmel and Kate Moss were celebrating their 15 years together and had released a special selection of lipsticks I knew I HAD to get them! And get them is what I did, so I’m here to talk you through them.
There are 6 shades in this collection; 3 ‘iconic’ red and 3 nudes. There are supposedly stories behind the choice of each of these colours – which I think is awesome – but I love them because of their colours, their formula, and well, everything about them.
The 6 shades;
- Muse Red #51 – blue undertones for cool toned skin
- Idol Red #52 – orange based for warm skin
- Retro Red #53 – deep, plum tones for neutral
- Rock N Roll Nude #54 – pinky nude for cool skin tones
- My Nude #55 – neutral nude for neutral skin tone
- Boho Nude #56 – apricot tones for warm tones
Like many of her other collections, the idea is that there’s one red and one nude designed to suit your skin tone. Giving you a fool proof way to find your nude and your red that will really suit you.
Let’s just start with the packaging. Now, I love the original packaging already. It’s slick, expensive feeling, and the little ‘Kate’ signature! So cute! And now they’ve only gone and put it in rose gold packaging! Stunning!
There are 3 nudes in this collection. They’re all very similar, with just slightly different undertones. However, they’re all very wearable! They feel super creamy on the lips, with a matte finish, what more could you want?! And they’re actually really flattering.
Now, to be honest, as reds go, these are actually still really wearable! You have your cool toned red, warm toned red, and your berry. And to be honest if you only had the budget to buy 3 red lipsticks (not that you actually NEED 3 red lipsticks), then these are the three that you would need. Once again, they’re creamy, pigmented, fairly long lasting, they wear really well. I literally can’t think of a bad thing to say about them… it’s slightly awkward.
So, if you haven’t seen these in store yet, then go pick them up now! They’re £6.49, so a little more expensive than the usual range. But they’re so pretty, I love the new packaging, and all the shades a right up my street!
Which shade is your favourite??!
