6 Month of Project 10 Pan | All The Makeup I’ve Used Up in 6 Months

I actually can’t believe it’s been 6 months since I started this challenge. 6 months since I made a mini pact to myself to not just buy countless and endless makeup and actually use and love what’s in my makeup collection. And here I am, 6 months later, with a big old roundup for you!

We’re going to talk through where the original 10 are, an update on the current 10, a roundup of every single makeup item I’ve used up so far and a quick roundup of how the project is going!

The Original 10

Of the original 10 Project 10 Pan products, I’ve actually finished 5 of them, have 1 that’s very nearly finished and 4 that are well on their way! So here’s a quick roundup of the original 10!

NYX Honey Dew Me Up Primer (FINISHED) Dior Backstage Foundation (FINISHED), L’Oreal Infaillible Pomade Concealer (FINISHED), Soap and Glory One Heck of a Blot Powder (FINISHED), Smashbox Contour Palette, NARS Blush in Orgasm, HUDA Warm Brown Obsessions Palette.Vieve The Essential Palette, MAC Velvet Teddy (FINISHED) and Revlon Super Lustrous Matte Lipstick in Cherries In The Snow.

The Current Line Up

Since last month’s update, I’ve finished 3 more things! The ELF Mineral Infused Face Primer, the MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation and the Rimmel Exaggerate Lipliner in East End Snob. So it means we need 3 more additions to the lineup… so I’ve added into the mix the Sleek Twist Up Lip Pencil in Shabby Chic (which is a lovely creamy lip liner that’s just been in my collection slightly too long), Max Factor Face Finity All Day Flawless Foundation (one of my holy grail favourites) and the Sleek Mattifying Primer (which I neither love nor hate, but just want to get used up!)

I’ve also made really good progress on my Smashbox Contour Palette… like honestly think this will be the last month it’s in this roundup!

6 Months of Makeup Empties

While embarking on this project I’ve finished 20 makeup products! Which, I feel like is some amazing progress…. here’s a roundup!

Elf 16 Hour Camo Concealer | I really loved this concealer. It’s one of those products that I definitely think I’ll repurchase! It has great coverage, it’s long-lasting and a few shades that work for me throughout the year!

Elf Mineral Infused Face Primer | As a recently finished product, I can already tell you I’m not going to miss it. Not because it was dreadful, it just wasn’t like amazing…

MAC Studio Fix Fluid | This was a favourite for so long, but I’ve since tried so many other foundations that I think I love more. So, not sure I’d rush off and repurchase…

Dior Backstage Foundation | This foundation lasted forever! But I actually kinda miss it. It was a lovely buildable and long-lasting foundation! Just needed it in a lighter shade…

Collection Primed & Ready BB Cream | As a super affordable product, you kinda expect this to be naff. But it was actually a pretty great BB cream. Obviously, it has low coverage, but it does a great job of just helping to even everything up

NYX Honey Dew Me Up Primer | I already miss this! It’s such a lovely primer with a gorgeous finish and an even nice texture!

Maybelline Sky High Mascara | This wasn’t actually a part of project 10 pan as I don’t include mascaras or brow products in it, but it was such a lovely mascara. Super buildable, long-lasting and it doesn’t straighten out a curved lash

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer | I mean, it’s just a classic! High coverage, easy to blend, a teeny bit drying, but still an incredible concealer for the price

Barry M Gelly Hi Shine in Acai Smoothie | This was just the perfect every day nail polish shade! Super opaque so it only needed one coat (max two) and it would last a solid…. 2 days before chipping! Which is bout the same for every shade!

L’Oreal Infaillible Pomade Concealer | I actually really loved this concealer. I thinkwhen we’re back in a private office again, I’m definitely going to get another pomade type concealer to keep for touch ups!

Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liner in East End Snob | I just have too many lip liners, so now I’m. ina mission to try and use them all up. So wish me luck!

Soap & Glory One Heck of a Blot Powder | I feel like this is such a throwback, but it’s a great powder and I’d 100% recommend and repurchase!

Benefit Gimme Brow | While I like this, I think I’m in a small proportion of people who doesn’t actually love this! I think I prefer a brow pencil and my refy brow gel….

Mac Lipstick in Velvet Teddy | Aww what a classic! I think I’m going to miss this, but I feel so proud of myself that I was able to use this all up! But it now gives me an excuse to go to Mac and buy another one…

Revlon Candid Loose Setting Powder | This powder was fine, but there is 100% better powders out there, so don’t think I’d repurchase!

Max Factor Brow Shaper Pencil x5 | I mean I’ve used 5. ofthese up, so it’s no secret it’s a favourite! But I’d 100% repurchase! Currently on a bit of break trying out some new products, but I know I’ll end up back with these again some day!

How’s It Going?

So it’s no secret that this is a challenge. I’m getting to that stage in the year where I’m starting to use other things outside the project 10 pan- and I think that’s absolutely fine! Fundamentally this project is to help me to learn to love my collection, and therefore I think it’s totally ok that I’m using the rest of my collection! And loving it!

Also, I feel like I’ve created some really beautiful looks over the 6 months – which you can see above – with my project 10 pan products… so!

I hope you’ve been enjoying coming along on this challenge with me! And here’s to another 6 months! And also, I’ll be back next month with my usual monthly roundup!

  1. Well done on all your progress and for finishing up base products like foundation and concealer which can take longer to get through! I finished the Studio Fix Fluid recently too and I was so gutted that when I went to decant the remainder of product into a container my pump broke. I love the foundation formula but would hate having to buy a pump all the time, I’d like to try the re-forumulated Face and Body as they’ve recently come out with new shades. It comes in a squeeze bottle so wouldn’t have the same issue with the pump xx

  2. My god you’re amazing. 20 products in 6 months?? I could never. I get bored and distracted and end up never commiting to use the project pan items. It’s so satisfying to see other people’s progress though xD
