Latest in Beauty x Fabulous Little Black Box Unboxing!

If you didn’t think I got enough products in my advent calendars… here I am effectively unboxing a smaller one! My mumsi bought me one of the Latest in Beauty boxes for my Christmas present and I love them! If you haven’t heard of Latest in Beauty, it’s a beauty box service where they curate boxes together and you buy them. So there’s no contract and it’s very non-commital, but you do also know what’s in it before you get it so there’s not a lot of surprise. But they do also do a subscription service, where you can pick your items out of a selection of things.

The box I have for you here is the Fabulous Little Black Box. Launched for Black Friday, in partnership with Fabulous Magazine, this box is full of 12 amazing products and comes at the cost of £45.

So let’s show you what’s in the box…

Bare by Vogue Williams Self Tan Foam

Not a massive self tan person… but maybe in May when you start getting your legs out and they’re painfully white! It says it cindlues Goji Berry, Oatmeal, Chamomile, Pomegranate and Grapefruit, so sounds like it smells delicious!

Charles Worthington Shine Plex Vitamin C Serum

We all know I’m a massive fan of my John Frieda Frizz Ease Serum, but I’m just about to finish my current tube of it, so before I pick up another one I’ll totally try this out! It has a lot to live up to, but this description sounds amazing; nourishing and lightweight, the serum instantly gives smoother, frizz-free hair with a luminous shine that lasts all day

Sunday Rain Sleep Mask Watermelon

I feel like I have face masks coming out of my ears, but I somehow don’t have an overnight mask?! You just lather a good layer on, go to sleep, wake up in the morning, and (usually) your skin feels amazing! Can’t wait!

Bare Minerals Mineralist Lipstick in Honesty

Described as a hydrating and saturated colour lipstick this sounds wight up my street! This is a cute little sample, but I rarely use up lipsticks and I can’t wait to try this! The colour is somewhere between a nude and a pink and it looks gorgeous!

Laura Mercier Caviar Mascara

I have so many mini mascaras to try now… but I’m so excited! This sounds like it’s going to be a really good volumising mascara, and I can’t wait to give it a go… I also don’t think I’ve tried anything from Laura Mercier before either…

NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Do Me Baby

I have wanted to try one of these for AGES! Like I add one to my basket, and then usually something (i.e. money) makes me take it out again. But this colour is gorgeous and totally one of the shades I’d have picked up! So excited!

Eyeko Eye Do Liquid Eyeliner

Another thing I LOVE is the Eyeko Black Eyeliners! they’re really great and easy to work with! They do dry up fairly quickly, but also still a great eyeliner! Can’t wait!

Skin Chemist Rose Quartz Youth Defense Lip Plump

I think this is one of those lipglosses that plumps up your lips. Not sure I’ve ever really bee for them, but I can’t wait to try it nonetheless!

GlamGlow Youthmud Face Mask

I’ve either had this exact mask, or something very similar from the same brand, and I LOVED it! So I’m beyond excited I have this back in my collection, even if only in a sample. It’s a really great purifying face mask!

Garnier Micellar Water

This is pretty much my baby by now. I use it on the daily and have for about 6 years now. I always buy it and I always will… and it’s handy to have a sample bottle to decant into as my previous one got a little mank and I chucked it!

Sweed Lashes in Ramina

Can’t say I’ve ever really been a lash person before, but these actually look really nice! And they’re super light and look like they’d be really easy to apply… who knows, maybe 2021 is the year for fake eyelashes!

L’Occitane Invigorating Face & Eye Mask Pod

Mine is already in the fridge and I can’t wait to use it! Described as a sorbet-like mask, it’s full of vitamin C and apparently helps minimise under eye puffiness and brighten your complexion!

What a box! I can’t wait to get cracking and start using all the products I got from my advent calendars as well as from this box! Maybe I’ll try things out and do a bit of a ‘favourite products’ from them in Feb/March! Hope you’re ready for reviews!

As a side note, unless I posted everyday all year, I’d never get through reviews of everything, so do keep an eye on my Instagram or in my monthly empties as they will pop up there if they don’t here!

Have you ever tried a Latest in Beauty Box

  3. Looks like an incredible box with lots of variety! I love the smell of Sunday Rain’s watermelon collection – I haven’t tried their sleep mask yet but will definitely look out for it

  4. Ooooh I’ve always been really interested in subscription boxes but always questioned whether it be worth it even if I only liked some products here and there. There are some really good products from good brands here so I’m glad this was a great box. I love NARS lip products x

    1. Latest in Beauty is a really good option! You can either buy one off boxes, or subscribe for monthly boxes where you can chose your products from a selection on the site! Means you can opt not to get (say) a face mask if you already have 100 in your collection! x

  5. This sounds like such a great box. You’ve received some lovely products and its great that so many of them of them are from high end brands. Eyeko is one of my favourite brands too. I love the mascara they do.

  6. I have paler skin so the Bare Minerals lipstick sounds like it is the perfect shade for me. Even a small tube lasts me forever, since I rarely use it. 🙂

I love the variety in this box and look forward to future writing if you find something new to fall in love with among your new make-up finds.

  7. This sounds like a great collection box! I tried their regular subscription box for the first time in December and was really impressed by them, everything from the product range to the value was sooo good. I hope you love your box x
