August Empties 2020 | Skincare, Makeup & Haircare

Oh empties! I feel like I’m slightly obsessed with writing these… and yes, I’ve briefed the boyfriend that he will have a random basket of empty products in our flat… so they’re not going anywhere! But another month is over. We’ve made it to September… how the heck did that happen? But it feels good to be September. It’s another reason to feel like you can start fresh again (new term and all), and while I haven’t been in education for quite a few years now, something about September feels like it still gives you the reason to start again.

But here are all the products I used up over the month of August…

LAB Clementine Lemon Candle (TK Maxx) | I always buy my candles from TK Maxx, there’s something about their collection which is just not to be rivalled. And, unlike the Primark or Next ones, they actually smell amazing. This one was such a lovely candle. I’ve recently started working back in an office again, so my need to burn candles all time of day and night has gone slightly.. but we’re heading into Autumn and so it’s the season of it. Thoroughly enjoyed this, would recommend!

Body Shop Vitamin E Face Cream | It’s no secret I’m a Body Shop fan… and this moisture cream is dreamy! I’m currently working my way through another one, but would 100% repurchase this! Without a doubt!

Body Shop Drops of Youth Eye Mask | I felt like I needed to get the Body Shop appreciation out the way. So this is the other one I used up over the last month. I’ve so enjoyed this eye cream! Slightly thick and heavy for everyday, but it did feel amazing on the skin and would 100% repurchase!

Pixi Glow Tonic | Let’s continue on the skincare appreciation zone. This is one of my favourite toners of all time. I’ve had two of these in the past and would definitely repurchase! I alternate between this and the Nip + Fab Glycolic Pads.

Maybelline The Falsies Lash Lift Mascara | Moving away from skincare, this is the mascara I finished up. Like I enjoyed this, and don’t really have a bad word to say about it. But it’s not my favourite, and I do think I prefer other mascaras from the drugstore/Maybelline.

Charles Worthington Restoring Blonde Shampoo & Conditioner | So I had my hair rebleached, so felt like I needed to pick something up to care for it. I enjoyed these products, and while I don’t necessarily have anything bad to say… I honestly don’t think they’re worth the expensive price tag that Charles Worthington products come with…

L’Oreal Infaillible More Than Concealer | My new favourite concealer. Love this so much! Good coverage, easy to apply and blend, long lasting and looks natural. Plus great shade range. Already repurchased.

Max Factor Honey Lacquer in Chocolate Nectar | So this isn’t empty… but it’s proper gone off. I used to be obsessed with this, and you’ll have seen it on my blog quite a few times. But in the last few weeks it’s totally gone off. And I’ll miss it so much… would 100% repurchase!

Neutrogena Refreshingly Clear Facial Wash | So I really do make my rounds on the face washes in Superdrug, and while I definitely have the ones I go back to all the time because I love them (this being one), I really haven’t found that favourite face wash… so still on the hunt!

Superdrug Vitamin E Gentle Oatmeal Exfoliator | I really did not enjoy this. It was so lumpy and bumpy and hated it….

Rimmel Exaggerate LipLiner in Eastend Snob | So obsessed with these lipliners. They’re a tad drying, but really pigmented and long wearing… plus I love how you don’t need a sharpener…!
