My First YouTube Video | What Am I Still Using?

So I actually released my first YouTube video in 2016. Cringe. I realistically had no idea what I was doing from either a blogging or makeup perspective, but it was actually a fairly successful video and had like 5k views. I mean it’s currently on private right now, but there are videos up on my channel and I’ve been uploading weekly recently, so check them out here

But right now we’re looking alllll the way back to my first YouTube video; a get ready with me for a date night. And more specifically what of those products I actually still use. I never claimed in that video they were favourites, but still thought it would be interesting to see if I was still wearing any of them. So let’s take a look ey!

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water | I mean I knew I’d been using this for some time, but didn’t realise it was this long! Yup still use this every day. Love it.

Simple Kind To Skin Facial Toner & Replenishing Rich Moisturiser | I love what simple are for with their super simple ingredients in their products, but they’re just not for me anymore, they’re not ironically heavy enough. But still great products

Boots Botanics Hydrating Eye Cream | I actually don’t remember this product at all. Awks

Max Factor Face Infinity All Day Primer | Oh My God this primer! I loved this primer so much and I probably still would, just currently trying to use through the ones I have, but I’m sure MF primers will come up on my list

L’Oreal True Match Foundation (Vanilla Rose) | This was such a cult foundation. And unpopular opinion but it’s not my favourite! Can’t explain why, but not sure I’d rush out to get this again any time soon

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer (1 Fair) | I actually still have three of these! I feel like this concealer will forever go down as a classic!

Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer | Funny that I was using two concealers back then and now I often don’t even use one. I love the formula of this, but it really doesn’t (or at least didn’t) go pale enough for me

Bourjois Healthy Balance Powder (Beige Clair) | I love this powder, I’d used this one up and another one since. Bourjois seem to be pulling out of Boots/Superdrug, but I’d still 100% pick this back up if I was at one of their counters!

Bourjois Bronzer and Highlighter Duo | I remember getting pulled into the hype to love this… but it really wasn’t all that!

Model Co. Blush (Cosmopolitan 01) | I still own this and love it! Great blush that no one talks about

Benefit Gimme Brow (Medium) | I mean mine was in the old pre-space age packaging (who remembers that?), but I still love this product! Have a mini one on the go at the moment.

Maybelline Colour Tattoo (35 On And On Bronze) | I loved these for so long! I’ve since actually leant how to use eyeshadows properly, so don’t have these around any more, but they were great!

Elizabeth Arden Day Palettes | Haha I remember getting these in a January sales gift set. I had so many things from Elizabeth Arden that I obsessed over for ages. They were some of my first high end purchases and I used them to death. But they really weren’t that great looking back at them. Makeup’s come so far since then!

Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Lash Enhancing Mascara (Black) | Ew no. This mascara was dreadful, think I even mentioned that in the video

Maybelline Colour Sensational (630 Velvet Beige) | I mean I don’t explicitly have this any more because that would be gross, but I have other Maybelline lipsticks and their formulas have remained favourites ever since

Most my brushes listed in the video were either Real Techniques, Eco Tools or Beau Belle. And while I don’t use my Beau Belle brushes anymore, I still LOVE the RT and Eco Tools brushes, they’re really soft and really affordable! I’ll be doing an updated brush favourites soon… so keep an eye out for that!
