Favourite Mini Eyeshadow Palettes

Favourite Mini Eyeshadow Palettes

So, as you know, I recently completed a makeup challenge where you create new palettes with your pre-existing palettes! And I thoroughly enjoyed it. Not only was it good fun, but it really helped me find some products in my collection that I love as well as reminding me of all the ones that have always been my favourite!

It also flagged that some palettes are just annoyingly too big. Like don’t get me wrong, I love a Morphe palette as much as the next girl, but why are they SO big?

So I thought today I’d share a little appreciation for my mini palettes. Not only are their formulas just as good and their packaging adorable, but the brand has somehow managed to fit an entire colour story into a much smaller space making them easier to use, carry around and love!

HUDA Warm Brown Obsessions

I honestly picked this up because I wanted to try the HUDA Beauty formula but couldn’t justify dropping £100 on a palette! And this has turned into one of my most loves eyeshadow palettes in my collection. Probably the most pigmented and easy to work with, the gold in the middle is truly the most stunning shade in the entire world. I like how each individual colour feels like it truly brings something individual to the palette and I mean it comes with a mirror!

Only downside is it is still expensive…

NYX Ultimate Shadow Palette

This is the palette which is somewhere on the edge between a mini palette and a fully fledged adult palette. A teenager if you will. Not only do NYX have a great eye shadow formula, but I actually love how small the pans are on this eyeshadow palette. Sounds mental, but how often do you really finish an eyeshadow? Not frequently right? So this means you can carry around all the warm neutrals you could ever need in one little palette.

Only downside is it’s quite chunky…

GOSH To Enjoy In New York

I think if I was to pick an underrated product in my collection, the GOSH eyeshadow palettes would be it. I have two of their palettes and love them both, but this one just takes the edge as my favourite. Not quite as pigmented as some of the others in this roundup, this just has a really lovely colour story and is quite unique in my collection. The two pale shades are the most stunning highlighter shades ever, I love a purple eye look and I love how it has a few cool toned brown/greys for those days I’m not feeling a warm tone

Only downside is they do take a little bit of building…

Wet n Wild Rose In The Air

If you’ve not tried a Wet N Wild eyeshadow palette, I highly recommend them. At their price point they’re truly one of the best eyeshadow formulas out there. Pigmented, easy to blend and long lasting the mattes in this palette are stunning! The transition shades in particular are stunning… and I literally can’t get ever the price of this!

Only downside is I feel like it’s missing some richer browns…

Zoeva Matte Voyager

So we all know the Zoeva Cocoa Blends palette is one of my favourites ever! I think Zoeva’s formula is easy to work with- it’s buildable and blendable and I love how slim their packaging is. They then released these mini versions a few years back and I picked up the Matte Voyager one. It has some stunning little pans of warm matte neutrals and there’s something so unbelievably quaint about it!

Only downside is they’re all mattes, so I feel like you need another palette to go with it!

What are your favourite mini palettes? I’m always on the look out

  1. I too share your love of mini palettes. The biggest palette I own is the Urban Decay Born To Run and even though its lovely, I hate how gigantic it is.
    Sal xx

  2. Colourpop has some great nine pan palettes, I’ve got four of their monochromatic palettes and price point for the quality is excellent! You can also create your own palette from single shadows if you want more versatility x

      1. Sometimes they have free worldwide shipping. I’ve never been stung with customs but I’m in New Zealand. I’m aware others in The UK have though 😢

      2. We have Cult Beauty & Beauty Bay which often stock American brands, but in £ and shipped from here, so no customs or anything. I’m impatiently waiting for Colorpop to be added! x

  3. I just recieved a couple of mini morphe palettes! Saw your comment about colorpop too and I really want to try it but agree the shipping to UK is a lot.

      1. Beauty bay stopped their morphe collab but you can get it directly from the morphe site! They ALWAYS have offers I got 2 for £12 and loads of half price stuff! Gonna do a morphe haul post soon

  4. I use the NYX palettes all the time and actually really like them! They’re not expensive but give great colour still – a firm favourite in my make up drawer 😀

Thanks for sharing – I’ll have to give some of the others a go. I’m OBSESSED with eye shadow – to the point my boyfriend keeps asking me why I’ve bought more 🤣

    1. hahahahaha! yeah, mine was like ‘aren’t they all the same’ and I find myself justifying why I need 100 different types of mid toned matte browns! hahahah x
