So, as you know I’m not buying anything at the moment. But what you may not know, is I’ve never bought anything off of ASOS. Yes, I think I’m the only person left on the planet that falls into this category, but this is me. I’m a slightly awkward clothing size where I sit somewhere between a size 10 and a size 12. And I like to be able to feel my clothes. It sounds odd, but the texture of my clothing and it’s thickness etc is so important to me when it comes to picking clothing and you just can’t read that from a site.
However, good old coronavirus has hit and I can’t peruse my local New Look for items of clothing I really don’t read. So, thought I’d have a gander at ASOS and see what they have to offer. And I’ve found some cracking items, so here I am sharing them with you today.
If you buy any of them… sorry not sorry for influencing you to buy more sh*t you don’t need during a lockdown!
ASOS DESIGN v neck button through mini smock dress in black £30.00
Weekday Prime organic cotton jersey mini dress in bottle green £25.00
You telling me this doesn’t look comfy. These are basically my two comfy options. I’m a strong believer in that you should feel relaxed in whatever it is you wear. On the left we have a super relaxed mini black dress. I love the buttons down the front, and that fact that it’ll hide the excessive amount of food babies I’ve had during this lockdown…! And then on the right, that shade of green is just stunning! I find it really flattering on my skin tone, and I love the texture of the dress! Never tried anything from either brand, but they look super cute!
PrettyLittleThing mini shirt dress with pleated skirt in black scarf print £28.00
ASOS DESIGN off shoulder corset detail mini shirt dress with button detail £50.00
Slightly more dressy, but equally as gorgeous we’ve got two more dresses. Pretty Little Thing is another one of those shops I’ve never purchased off of, but this dress looks stunning! I like how it’s belted at the waist and so makes is a skater style which really suits my figure. But the thing that gets me most about this dress is the pattern. It’s that keychain pattern that took over the world a few years back, but I like how it’s a little bit more delicate than some of the other prints out there. And I love how it’s black based. And then on the right there’s a mint green dress which is so unlike anything I’ve ever worn. I’m not 100% sure if it’ll suit me, but it’s just so goddam cute I couldn’t let it go unloved.
ASOS DESIGN off shoulder linen mini shirt dress with shirred waist in black £32.00
ASOS DESIGN cotton poplin batwing mini skater dress with wrap around belt in floral print £35.00
Is this just the wishlist of dresses? Potentially. But it’s what I’ve been loving since I rediscovered I had a summer wardrobe I forgot about… And these two are just super cute summer dresses. The prints aren’t anything particularly unique (though I do love the light blue flower print), but I literally love these cuts! One has a stunning cut out back, and the other has this really cute off the shoulder style.
NA-KD recycled polyester tie strap smocked mini dress in white £35.00
ASOS DESIGN pop suit in yellow £84.00
Oh hello summer, thanks for turning up! So much white and bright yellow. But it’s so pretty! We’ve got your classic summer white dress, with adorable buttons and tie up shoulder straps. And then you’ve got the most killer yellow suit I’ve ever seen in my entire life. I’m not sure I’d ever have the confidence to pull it off… but if I did, I would be all over this. You buy the trousers and blazer separately, and ASOS sell them in pretty much every colour…
ASOS DESIGN earrings with moon and sun cut out drop in gold tone £6.00
ASOS DESIGN ear cuff in crystal snake design in silver tone £5.00
And last up we have two accessories. And come on guys, these are adorable! I love how the earrings match, but also don’t and I also love how they’re long and dangling, but rather simple and so understated. And then the ear cuff is just adorable. I’m kinda a weird fan of snakes on jewellery (no, I don’t know either), and I’m such a fan of ear cuffs and wish I had the balls to get my ears pierced so I could wear them properly. However, this will do for the meantime
And there you go. 10 items from ASOS that took my fancy. I’m sure if I spent hours and hours on there I’d find many more, but I didn’t necessarily want to drown you…!
Let me know if you’ve ever bought anything off ASOS? And what you’ve been buying during lockdown?
