Makeup Bag Spring

Spring Makeup Bag (1)

I love rummaging through people’s makeup bags! I mean I’m nosey! And, one day I’d love to post a what’s in my mums/best friend’s makeup bag! Anyhow, today, I’m sharing with you what’s currently in my bag. The products I’m currently loving or trying, and the products that are taking me into those summer months!

I am currently OBSESSED with the L’Oreal Infaillible Magic Essence Drops. They hydrating, feel really refreshing on the skin and just leaves my skin look radiant and ready for makeup. However, they’re not so good at the whole priming side of things, and so I find I have to use the Smashbox Photofinish Primer to prep the skin for makeup.

One of my favourite foundations at the moment is the Max Factor Radiance Lift. I feel like MF make so many of my favourite foundations, it’s almost a go to now! And this one is no different, good coverage, beautiful finish, long lasting, good colour, simple packaging. What more could you want?! And then L’Oreal takes over the game with their new(ish) L’Oreal Infaillible More Than Concealer and L’Oreal Infaillible Magic Loose Powder. Both great products!

Then to add a bit of colour and shape back into the face, I’ve dug back out an old favourite, the Revlon Sculpt & Highlight Contour Palette. This has a stunning contour and bronzer and it’s a super easy formula to blend and build! I’ve been using the mini travel Benefit Galigornia Blusher to add a bit of colour back into the cheeks…. still remember back in the days when I never used blush! The revlon palette does have a highlighter, but it’s very subtle. And so I actually do love the Winky Lux Strobing Balm in Radiant Pink. A little bit of it really does go a long way!

Brows are simple… while I really do love the Max Factor eyebrow pencil, mine ran out and I haven’t had the chance to get another one. So, I’m back on an old favourite, the Maybelline Brow Satin Pencil. Who remembers when this was the only brow product I used… ever! And the only brow gel I ever really use is the GOSH Eyebrow Gel! Simple, easy!

The mini little Zoeva Matte Voyager Palette has all the warm neutral matte shades you’ll need. And the packaging is gorgeous and the formula is so good for the money! However, I’m still not one of those people who likes a matte eye look and so I’m loving the STYLondon Eaton Square Eyeshadow Palette. I got this in a beauty box, and while it’s nothing out of this world, it’s still a pretty good shimmer palette and it’s small and compact! I don’t often do a flick anymore, but when I do it’s the Ciate Fierce Flicks Eyeliner. Then complete the look with the Maybelline SNAPscara – a mascara which is good… but definitely not my favourite!

And then a lippy! Three different colours; a red in the NARS Velvet Lip Glide in Burning Love, a retro nude in the MAC Velvet Teddy and mauve/pink/nude in the L’Oreal Rouge Signature Lipstick in I Rule. All gorgeous! All some of my favs!

What’s in your makeup bag this month/season?

  2. I’ve been loving Velvet Teddy this month too! I have also been playing around with the Zoella x Colourpop Brunch Date palette for the past few weeks 🙂 Max Factor make my favourite foundation too, it’s such an underrated brand. I purchased the Smooth Miracle Primer after hearing you mention it and I love that too!
