For those of you who don’t know, I actually love the L’Oreal Lash Paradise Mascara! It’s such a gorgeous volumising mascara. And while the wand is HUGE, I can really get over it and love it! So, when I saw L’Oreal has launched a primer to go with the mascara I was very intrigued!
At £11.99, it’s actually fairly expensive for the drugstore! However, the packaging is stunning! It comes in a matte white tube with a rose gold lid and writing. The brush is a very standard mascara wand and the primer is a white one.
I’m slightly dubious of primers, I find they very rarely make much of a difference. However, here is what L’Oreal claimed it did:
Take your lashes for next-level paradise with new L’Oréal Paris Paradise Mascara Primer, our first 2-in-1 lash primer to boost volume and care. Apply it before your regular mascara, for lashes that look even longer and fuller. The ultra-soft brush coats lashes with a silky smooth formula enriched with jojoba oil and vitamins. Lashes feel feather-soft, stronger and more conditioned
I have to say, I used it a couple of times and I really didn’t see any big changes in my eyelashes. Then again, I don’t use false lashes, and I remove my mascara fairly gently at the end of the day, so I would say my eyelashes are in fairly good health anyway.
In terms of priming, it was OK. I did one eye with and one eye without (using the Lash Paradise Mascara) and the difference was so so minimal. There was a difference, my lashes were very subtly more voluminous… but the difference is so minute it really doesn’t warrant a separate product.
In terms of curl, it made no difference in creating or holding a curl.
So overall, it’s not a bad product. I just feel like it’s not needed and so it’s kinda a waste of money! So I wouldn’t personally recommend.
Have you tried this? What were your thoughts?
