New In | Maybelline Tattoo Brow

Maybelline BrowMaybelline Brow 1

Ok, this is weird. Maybelline have launched a Tattoo Brow, which I assume fits into the same range as their Tattoo eyeshadows. Anyone who knows anything about me knows that I LOVE the Maybelline Brow Satin, it’s verging on obsessive. This means I have high hopes for any brow launch from Maybelline, and this one is definitely interesting.

So this is the description:

Wake up to evenly-filled brows! Our 1st easy peel off lash tint with up to 3 day wear. For fuller natural looking brows

So you use it in a similar way to any tint, but it peels off! Brush the tint on with the little brush provided, this is fairly easy and fool proof. Then leave it from 20mins to a few hours, depending how long you want the tint to last for – I left it for an hour. At this point it does look a bit scary, and kind of slug like, but don’t panic. Then peel it off, which is strangely satisfying, but sadly it doesn’t peel off in one, satisfying layer. I don’t entirely know what I expected, but it tints your brows, but not your skin… so if you just wanted to make your brows a tad darker.. it’s perfect, if your brows are too sparse, and making them darker won’t make any different, this won’t really create ‘evenly-filled brows’.

The claim on the packet is that you won’t have to fill in your brows for 3 days after use. And, while I have to admit, doing your brows is quicker because they’re already tinted and darker, my brows still very much needed filling in…

The dye lasted like two days… which is alright. While it’s a cool product, it just seems like a lot of agro for not the biggest gain, you’re better off just using a tinted brow gel…

This product costs Β£12.99 and comes in three shades, of which I have “Medium Brown”, and it’s ok… just not screaming from the roof tops about it..

Have you tried this? If so, what are your thoughts?
