Any long term readers of my blog will know that I am obsessed, and head over heels in love, with the Max Factor Face Finity All Day Flawless Primer. So, it was only fitting that I tried the corresponding Foundation. And, let me tell you (or pre-warn you) there is a reason why the bottle looks like it’s slightly empty… that’s because I have used it… a lot.
The colour range of these foundations is amazing for paler complexions and great for those with warm, deeper complexions (see above), but there’s nothing in the middle.. which I think is a bit weird. However, the lightest shade (light ivory) is a perfect match for my skin! So, I guess I’m one of the lucky ones.
Max Factor is definitely one of the pricier brands in the drugstore, and at £12.99, it’s definitely one of the more expensive foundations available at the drugstore. However, to be honest, it’s really not that bad when you think about it. This foundation will last for ages, and I feel like it’s ok to spend more on a foundation; considering it’s the basis of all your makeup!
The packaging is practical but nothing exceptional beautiful. It comes in a clear bottle with a pump – come on, we all love a pump!
The foundation claims to be 3 in 1… which I’m a little ‘ermmm’ about. While it’s coverage is good enough to cover most imperfections, you would need to have a good skin day to not need a concealer as well. It’s a fairly long lasting foundation, but a decent primer helps it to sit on the skin better. And.. yes it’s a foundation.
The coverage of this is medium, and buildable. I feel like, when applied with a brush, it sits on the skin a little weirdly. HOWEVER, when applies with a beauty blender (or equivalent), this looks stunning on the skin. It comes with a velvet finish; neither matte, nor dewy; it evens skin tone, looks stunning, but natural… and I luuuurve this foundation!
Have you tried this foundation? If so, what did you think?
