I feel like I’m very late to this bang wagon, everyone and their mother and their mate down the street has seen or tried this mascara. The launch that was completely out of this world (a very not so funny joke if you know about their launch). I feel like the launch of this mascara was verging on ridiculous that it made us want something more than just an updates version of a product that already exists… but putting that aside I was super excited to try it.

So the mascara is £21.50. So not cheap. But then again Benefit is not a drugstore brand (despite being sold in Boots.. then again, Boots actually sell a lot of high end brands). The packaging is this black, rubber, spacey, futuristic tube that looks a tad industrial. I’m not sure I love it, but I do love the fact that it’s different and interesting and helps it to stand out.
The wand is a plastic applicator that very very subtly gets thinner towards the end. The bristles are super short. And the wand is super flexible, this baby can seriously wobble around. I love the rubber applicator, but the fact that it’s so flexible can mean it can be quite messy… then again, that could just be because I’m a clutz.

We all want to know how this applies. And I have to say I really do like it. It gives good length, amazing volume and, yes, it does feel lightweight on the eyelashes (then again, not something that’s ever really bothered me, or I’ve really thought needed fixing in mascara… but ah well). This mascara is rather clumpy.. actually in fact it’s very clumpy. And while this doesn’t really bother me, I know it will be something that will bother a lot of people.
However, for a mascara that is super volumising it holds a curl pretty well and it doesn’t flake under my eye AND I can wear it on my bottom lashes without is smudging… and so big thumbs up.

Overall, completely over hyped. It’s a good mascara, but I think I actually prefer Benefit’s other mascaras (the They’re Real and Rollerlash). But, if you want to jump on the band wagon and just give it a go… it’s definitely a volumising, lengthening and long wearing mascara that I will continue to use till it runs out.

I’m actually very interested in trying it, too bad you weren’t that impressed 🙁
I think it’s because I’m not the keenest on clumpy mascaras.. if that doesn’t bother you, it’s actually a pretty good mascara. I know a lot of people who love it…
I’ve been trying this out and love it! Great review sweet x
It looks so cool and i def wanna try it out! Thanks for the review!
The packaging is pretty awesome 😊 x
I haven’t tried this mascara but I have the original Bad Gal mascara but I don’t use it that often because I found that it went a bit flakey throughout the day. xx
I had never tried the original one… but this one doesn’t flake on me? X
That sounds good x
Not tried it but would like to. I know what you mean about the product launch – seemed amazing for those involved but very over the top I thought x
yeah… I was imagining an entire range… or something more than just what is effectively a reformulated version of an original mascara…
Me too – bit of an anti climax
Rollerlash is one of my faves too, so if it’s not as good as that or only marginally better, I don’t think I’ll bother. I already own too many mascaras, lol.
