Everyone loves Sleek, everyone loves Christmas (well most people do), and everyone loves presents, so what happens when you have a Sleek Christmas Gift set? A very excited Katie! So I picked up the Sleek Smoke & Mirrors set from Boots the other day, and I wanted to share with you my thoughts and feelings about the products included.

First the box. It comes in this really beautiful box that I actually felt so guilty chucking away! It comes at the cost of £12 which is quite a bargain for three products; Eyeshadow Palette in Bad Girl, Dip It Eyeliner and Full Fat Lash Mascara. Each come in a matte black packaging – like all of the Sleek products. I have to say I really do love Sleek MakeUP packaging, they have it down to a t.

The eyeliner comes in a traditional liquid eyeliner pot and brush format. However, the ‘brush’ is more like the felt tip nip of eyeliners such as the Soap and Glory supercat eyeliner. So it gives you the best of both worlds; the black opaqueness of liquid eyeliners, with the easy of application of a felt tip eyeliner. For that reason, I have to say I love this eyeliner!!

The mascara comes with this realy funky shaped wand which is supposed to make getting all of your lashes easier, however, I have to say I think it actually makes it harder. I don’t know if it’s because I don’t really understand how I’m meant to use it – not sure. However, this mascara is actually quite nice, nothing out of this world incredible, but for it’s price point (£6.99) it’s still a good mascara and one I will be using.

I love Sleek eyeshadows palettes, they’re ones that have a big space in my heart. As you can see below, the pigmentation for £9.99 is actually incredible – seriously, these swatches were done with one swipe. The glittery shades do have a tiny bit of fall out, so I would recommend taking a brush with you to sweep under your eyes if you’re going to be out for a LONG time. However, you just can’t beat the colour payoff of these shadows. The palette you get in this gift set is the Bad Girl palette. With 2 pale shades, and collection of greys, a few blues and maroon colours, this is a perfect eyeshadow palette for those who like their more edgy eyelooks. For me, it’s missing the perfect matte brown crease shade – what can I say, I know what I like and I stick to it. However, there are some stunning shades in here, just not a palette that’s entirely my style.
