I was terrified of using brow pomades for such a long time, and any one who knows anything about my makeup loves, knows I am head over heals in love with my Maybelline Brow Satin pencil. So I never really had high hopes for this new product from L’Oreal, I thought it would be hard to use and something I just wouldn’t get on with.
Oh, how wrong I was.
At £9.99 it was more than I would normally spend on a brow product, but pomades are known for lasting FOREVER, so I can’t really complain. The packaging is cool, but a little space agey! But I really do appreciate the rose gold colour, and it does look pleasant on my shelf.
The brush in the lid is surprisingly nice. I’m sure there are better brushes out there. But this one is small and precise enough to really work, it’s easy to clean, easy to use, not too harsh or hard on the face, and it’s convenient that it’s in the lid.
The colour I have is brunette, and on my shade hair it’s perfect. You can go a tad heavy with it, making it seem like you have slugs on your face. And with someone who likes the natural, almost fluffy, brow look, I was slightly terrified of this. But, with a light hand and the brush included, you can make it look really natural.
The product is super pigmented, and easy to work with. I’ve never used another pomade, and so I can’t really make a comparison – they’ve always been something I’ve avoided. But, for someone who likes a natural brow, this just really works. Plus, it lasts really well throughout the day.
Have you tried this? If so, what are your thoughts?
