New: L’Oreal Paris Infallible Eye Paint

There’s been a couple of new launches from L’Oreal recently that I am so excited for. First and foremost, there are the Infallible Eye Paints. They are a liquid eye shadow and come at the cost of £5.99. Effectively, they are a metallic, pigmented, liquid with a dofer applicator, and I have to say, I still don’t think I’ve made my mind up about them.

I have 6 colours here, all of which have quite an earthy feel, but only a few of which I actually like. I feel like they’re quite difficult colours to get on with. The thing about liquid eyeshadows such as these is that they would be an all over the lid kinda colour, or used as a super thick eyeliner, and they’re not colours that would really work as either. The teal is a stunning colour, the grey sort of colour would make a great smokey eye and the gold is pretty (if not a little pale), but the other colours leave me a little… meh.

They’re also not the easiest to work with, they can come across a little patchy and settle into lines as it dries, so I’m really not entirely sure how I feel about them right now, which makes writing a review about them slightly tricky.

I mean all in all, some of these colours are very pretty, and will hold their place in my collection for more interesting makeup looks, but I feel like the addition of some more conventional colours would make them more of an everyday kinda thing.

Let me know your thoughts.
