Rimmel add another Foundation to their already extensive range, and this one is a light and breathable foundation that’s perfect for the Summer weather – despite, yes, Rimmel has done it again, Summer is already over.
The foundation comes in at a cost of only £7.49, making it super affordable, and comes in this super cute, very summery packaging.
The foundation comes in only 6 shades from Light Porcelain to Natural Beige, covering a variety of skin tones, but missing out everyone with deeper skin tones. However, Light Porcelain is a super light, pink toned foundation that would work great for those super pale people (even paler than me!!!). So, the colour range has both pros and cons.
The texture is ultra-smooth with a sort of whipped texture, it’s easy to apply and feels super lightweight, and somewhat cooling on the skin. When applied it gives your skin a natural looking, fresh finish. It’s a low coverage foundation, nothing more (really) than a BB cream, but has the staying power of a foundation.
This is what it says online;
Natural mineral powders help absorb excess oil presenting shine, while the formula with Aloe, Chamomile & Sea Algae extracts help reduce redness and evens out natural skin tone.
And, while this foundation doesn’t give a matte finish, it leaves your skin looking natural and healthy, it’s not a super shiny foundation either, and it does help to even out the redness in my skin. Now, I’m no scientist, so I don’t know if it’s the ingredients in the foundation or the coverage of the foundation… but it works, so I’m not going to complain…
Every BB Cream I’ve tried has oxidised on my skin or was just too dark to start with. This gives me the lightweight feel of a BB cream, with similar coverage of a BB cream, with the extra SPF15 that BB Creams come with, and basically if I want a light weight, comfortable, easy to wear foundation that gives me a little bit of coverage, this is the one I chose.
It wouldn’t be my go to foundation for everyday, but for the Summer months (or if we mysteriously have another warm day), when a foundation is just too much, this is 100% my choice!
