Review | Fenty Pro Filt’r Hydrating Primer

I feel like everyone raves about Fenty, but I’m yet to really try and enjoy anything from the brand! The blushes are still on my wishlist, and still very much something I want to try… but I was in need of a new primer, and I couldn’t say no the trying the Fenty Pro Filt’r Hydrating Primer (yes filt’r. No, I don’t know why).

On another note, I also really want to try the Fenty Skincare line!

Here’s what it says on the Boot’s website:

A lightweight hydrating makeup primer for normal to dry skin that instantly nourishes, with a silky-smooth formula that keeps skin comfortable all day while improving and extending foundation wear.

Price & Packaging

I mean the bottle is stunning! There is something about this nude, pink shade which is just gorgeous! It’s then in this frosted bottle with the simple Fenty Beauty branding on the front and a decent pump applicator. It’s no secret that Fenty is pretty expensive. This product is £24 for 30mls. Potentially making it one of the most expensive primers in my collection… but it’s just so pretty! And it’s only in one shade (obviously).

Application

I don’t think I’ve ever felt something so soft in my life! The application of this feels so silky and smooth on the face. It blends out really easily as it’s a relatively liquidy formula (see the below photo). I didn’t find it did a massive difference to pores, texture or the ‘stickiness’, but it did feel really hydrating and SO soft on the skin!

The Wear Time

I find this helps the foundation apply onto your skin much smoother. As you give your skin a good level of moisture, there’s just something about it that really helps makeup sit on top really nicely. Does it make it last longer? I’m not massively convinced.

Overall Thoughts

The packaging is stunning, the application is stunning, it feels sooooooo silky and soft. And I really enjoy applying it on my skin. Is it worth the money? Yeah probably. It does help foundation sit on the skin in a really beautiful and natural way. But if you’re wanting this to help your foundation stay on longer, there are better primers out there.

Have you tried this? If so, what did you think?
