After seeing Emma’s Rectangle use these pretty much on the daily, I just HAD to pick them up and try them for myself… and as promised, here is my review and thoughts on them after using them for a few weeks!

As always, let’s start off my review with what Pixi claim these eye masks can do;
“Instantly reduce under-eye puffiness and dark circles while moisturising and soothing your skin with Pixi’s DetoxifEYE hydrogel eye patches.“
Price & Packaging
You get 30 pairs of eye patches for £22. So, while it may sound expensive, actually the price per wear is super affordable. It comes in this super slim, green and sturdy packaging. When you open it up, there is an internal lid to keep your eye patches safe, and a little spatular to help you lift them out by (though, have to admit, I never use it). And then the eye patches all sit side by side in the bottom. One of the things I really love about this packaging is that they’re not wrapped individually. There’s enough liquid in the bottle to keep them fresh and hydrated, but it’s also not like you’re wasting a bit of plastic for every single use! Round of applause of Pixi!
How Do They Apply
So, not going to lie, they’re a little bit slippery. However, it means you can pop them on your eye, and then you have the flexibility to move it around until it’s comfortable! Which, considering I always seem to put it on my face in a way it’s poking my eye, I’m all here for! But this does mean that if you’re being active while they’re on, they can slip a little. But if you’re sitting down in the bath (let’s say, as this is often where I use them), they don’t really move. And either way, after about 3-4 mins they dry down enough that they sort of stay where they are.
Do They Work?
I’m one of these strangely gifted people in the fact that I don’t really get under eye bags, and also (unless I’ve had a REALLY bad night’s sleep) they don’t puff up too badly. However, these were a dream! They feel really relaxing while they’re on, and then when you remove the eye patch, it leaves behind some of the serum, which you can pat into your under eyes and it leaves you skin feeling super fresh and hydrated!
Overall Thoughts
There is something just really relaxing about the whole process! Either using it in the bath as part of a self care routine, or just under my eyes to catch fallout from a smokey eye (or something just as dramatic), I really enjoy using these! My eyes feel super soft and hydrated, though unfortunately I can’t actually comment on whether it reduces under eye circles.
Would I repurchase? Probably! I like that they all come together (as opposed to single wrapped), they work, they’re not too expensive, and I’m that weirdo who just likes the packaging! haha
Have you tried these? If so, what did you think?
Katie x
