Drugstore Makeup Haul | Boots & Superdrug

Drugstore Affordable Makeup Haul

So I was in a spending ban for months, and I actually stuck to it (round of applause and all). But then Boots decided to do a spend £50 get £10 worth of points and all the shops reopened so, well, here we are! There are a few things that are repurchases and some things which are new, but I just really felt my makeup collection needed an injection of new makeup!

I’m going to be doing reviews of these products over the next week. In a sort of review week, I’m going to be doing a post on each of these products every day for the next 7 days. I also filmed the full haul (including skincare & haircare on my YouTube channel! So I’m hoping this haul does it’s money worth if you catch my drift!

However, before we get to that point I wanted to share with you quickly actually what I picked up!

Pretty much every makeup counter had a 3 for 2 offer on so you’ll see a lot of the same brands! As I waltzed into Superdrug I noticed that Barry M had a new palette with Anna Lingus, and come on that colour layout is gorgeous! I’ve become such a fan of bright coloured eyeshadow palettes and I felt like this just fit with that vibe! The olive shade is stunning!

We all know Max Factor is one of my favourite makeup brands of all time. Their foundations are some of my favourites, and so when I saw they had launched their Miracle Second Skin Hydrate Protect Review Foundation I know I HAD to try it! And the packaging is super cute with the gold accents!

I picked up three new brow pencils from Rimmel, L’Oreal and Maybelline. As you may have seen from my empties post, I have been obsessed with the Max Factor brow pencil for years and it’s a firm favourite. But, not only do you go through them so quickly, I’m just sort of feeling like I want to try something new! So, I picked up three. Because I’m slightly OTT, and Boots were doing 3 for 2. So…

As I haven’t been buying anything for nearly 6 months now, all my beauty sponges are just gross now. So had to pick up a new Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge. These are just the best sponges for the price and I’ve been using them for years.

I then have a million things from L’Oreal – with a million being a slight exaggeration! Picked up a primer, two different lipsticks, an eyeliner and a mascara. The L’Oreal Infaillible Magic Essence Drops and the L’Oreal Lash Paradise Mascaras are both firm favourites and repurchases. And.. in my defence, I did need a new primer and a new mascara. So, these are valid purchases!

The two lipsticks are close relatives of formulas I’ve tried before but in some beautiful deeper nudes and then the eyeliner is just in the most gorgeous burgundy shade ever. Keep an eye out for reviews on these! Such a tease I know….

And then following all that makeup shopping I had way too many Boots points. So I picked up two slightly more spenny purchases! I picked up the Too Faced All Nighter Setting Spray. It’s something I’ve always wanted to try, and I’m excited to finally have it in my collection. Plus, don’t have a setting spray at the moment, so…

And then Boots were doing 30% off of Fenty Beauty. As a brand I had always admired from a distance and seen so many great things about, it felt like the best time to try something new! So I picked up one of the Mattemoiselle lipsticks in a gorgeous nude shade!

And there you have it! I also picked up some haircare and skincare items, but I really wanted to focus on the makeup!

So I hope you’re looking forward to the new posts!
