So I’m a true believer in that drugstore really does hold some of the best makeup out there! However, sometimes you just want a little bit of luxury! A little bit of feeling like you’re a million bucks! And for those moments I love my expensive lipsticks (and eyeshadow palettes, foundations, etc. but that’s probably for another time!). I’ve written ‘Favourite High End Makeup’ posts in the past, but I thought it would be a good idea to focus on one of my favourite parts of my makeup- lipsticks!
Here are my 5 favourite, go to high end lipsticks that I use pretty much on the daily.. on repeat!
Ofra Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick in Charmed | This is actually one of those makeup products I’ve repurchased! It’s a classic colour, easy to apply, comfortable to wear. Has a beautiful matte finish and I actually love the new packaging update! Can’t wait to get my hands on more of these over the years!
NARS Velvet Lip Glide in Burning Love | The only ‘bold’ lip choice of the collection, this is a stunning red! Got this as part of one of my advent calendars and haven’t looked back! It’s a classic cool red, super pigmented, you can easily apply in one swipe and it lasts really well!
Stila Liquid Lipstick in Patina | I mean I feel like the Stila Liquid Lips deserve a full space on it’s own! They’re possibly the most pigmented of the bunch, making them mega easy to apply! I own three colours (a red, pink and nude) and wear them on rotation all the time!
Elizabeth Arden Lipstick in Iced Grape | I got this lipstick as part of an Elizabeth Arden gift set a couple of years back and completely fell in love! I’ve been looking for this line of lipsticks to get some more, but really can’t find them! Would love to try more from the range though!
MAC Lipstick in Velvet Teddy | Oh MAC what a classic! Do you remember when EVERYONE wore this lipstick? Yeah? Me too! It’s still one of my favourites! I love the peachy undertones, it makes it look such a retro colour and I really just love it! If I could own every MAC lipstick I so would! Love ’em!
I mean, as you can see from the swatches, I’m very much a nudes gal! If it’s not nudes, it’s a bright red! Sometimes I feel like there’s no inbetween! We can all get into those ruts sometimes though can’t we!
