Everyone loves a good old Real Techniques brush, and everyone loves new brushes. So the combination of the two were really exciting. This is a set of three brushes that you can get from superdrug. The set it normally £20.99, but sometimes you can pick it up on offer (I only paid £6.99 pre-staff discount for it).
After reading the descriptions on the back of the box I then found out how the three brushes work best in my makeup application;
Real Techniques Duo-Fiber Face Brush
This works brilliantly as a blush brush. Because it’s a duo-fiber brush it applies product really delicately, and as I’m not a big blush wearer, it applies just the right amount of blush onto the cheeks, and I feel like it’s really hard to go over the top with.
Real Techniques Duo-Fiber Contour Brush
After you’ve baked under your eyes with your beauty blender, this is a really nice brush to wipe it away with. Because it’s not too dense it brushes away the excess powder without interrupting the makeup underneath. It may take a bit longer than using a traditional powder brush, but the end result is so much better.
Real Techniques Duo-Fiber Eye Brush
I know this is a very specific job, but this brush works really well for applying highlight just under the brow bone. I like quite a subtle glow there (as opposed to on my cheeks, where I want it to blind the whole world). I find this brush applies just the right amount, while still allowing your to blend it into the crease colour for that fully blended look.
These brushes are lovely. Would I recommend them to a complete beginner? Probably not, because I feel like their uses are fairly limited and specific. However, would I recommend the brushes overall and rate their quality? Yes, they are great brushes, they’ve found a firm spot in my everyday brush collection and I cannot wait to keep using them?
I have a lot of brushes my real techniques, eco tools and B. Cosmetics, are there any other brushes you would recommend? Because, I feel like I need to try some more!
