What’s In My Makeup Bag | August 2020

So I’m currently spending the week with my boyfriend, and so I’ve packed up a makeup bag for my stay. I’m not someone who typically lives out a makeup bag (as I get ready at my desk where my entire collection is housed), but now I’ve packed one, it only felt fitting to share with you the products I’m taking with me.

These are the only products I’m using for 9 days while I live it up in Croydon and still go do work.

I’m not one to have a lot of primers in my collection in one go, so I start with the L’Oreal Infaillible Magic Essence Drops Primer. This is so hydrating and gives my skin a good wakeup call. For foundation I opted with the Mac Studio Fix Foundation Fluid. Not only do I know that I love it, but it’s a really buildable foundation so it suits those days I barely want to wear anything, as well as the days I want full glam. And then to finish off the base the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer and the RCMA No Color Powder… because they’re just classics.

When I travel I love to travel with a face palette or two, as they have everything you could ever need all in one place. I have my Sleek Face Form Palette, not only does no one seem to talk about Sleek anymore, but it’s becoming increasingly difficult to get hold of. Which is such a shame, as their products are actually really lovely!

And then for another option I have the Stila Perfect Me, Perfect Hue palette. Two beautiful blushes and a really lovely on the cool-side neutral eyeshadow quad, this is one of those unsung heroes in my collection. Love it!

So now we’ve got base out of the way let’s move onto the eyes! I had to bring my Juvia’s Place Mini Mascquerade Palette with me… like it’s probably one of my more versatile palettes… with a collection of stunning warm toned nudes, and then a few equally stunning pops of colour! Obsessed. And then you can’t go wrong with the L’Oreal Lash Paradise and Soap and Glory Supercat combo!

For brows I’ve bought with me the Maybelline Ultra Slim Brow Pencil. There are so many products like this on the market, but this one is a good ‘un and also affordable. Can’t really go wrong.

And then, because I’m indecisive, I have three different lipsticks with me. The L’Oreal Rouge Signature Lipstick in I Speak Up (a stunning bright pink), the Mac Velvet Teddy Lipstick (does this need any introduction) and the Illamasqua Lava Lips in Vixen. Three stunning lipsticks to cover me for any occasion.

And that’s the end of that! What’s in your makeup bag this month?
