The Makeup I Took On Holiday!

So as you may have known (but if not, here I’m saying again), I’ve just come back from a week away in sunny Italy! And as you would always expect from a week away, I packed a bag full of too much makeup and spent the week wearing summery makeup inspired by the warmer weather!

And, hoping you’re all as nosey as me, I thought I would share with you what I took with me!

Because I was predominantly using the IT CC Cream (a beautiful new super pale shade- Fair… which actually suits me), I didn’t really find I needed a primer. However, I did take with me my new Mac Studio Fix Fluid Foundation in NW10, and so I took with me the mini travel Illamasqua Hydra Veil Primer. Then for those extra coverage moments, I bought my new fav- the L’Oreal Infaillible More Than Concealer

For base I predominantly used the Charlotte Tilbury Instant Look in a Palette. This is one of those rare few palettes where every single shade in it actually gets used! The bronzer has fast become one of my favs, the highlighter gorgeous, the blush is mega pretty and the three eyeshadows (and the Swish Cheek Colour) make a gorgeous mega natural eyeshadow look! All wrapped up in travel friendly and gorgeous packaging!

I also took the NYX 3 Steps to Sculpt Palette which includes a bronzer, powder and highlighter.  Another palette with some stunning powders in it! Not such a fan of the highlighter, but the powder is GORGEOUS and the bronzer is absolutely perfect! I’ve mega hit pan on the powder!

Just before I went on holiday I went on search for an Auburn/read eyebrow product! This brought me to the NYX Micro Brow Pencil in Auburn. A super fine brow pencil with a spoolie on the other end, this was exactly what I was looking for! And then my ever favourite GOSH Defining Brow Gel in Transparent. 

I only brought one eyeshadow palette (considering there were also eyeshadows in the CT palette), and this was the Zoeva Cocoa Blends Palette. As you can see I’ve mega hit pan on this, it’s one of my favourite and go to palettes and it does me for pretty much every daily makeup look! Then, just incase I fancied a flick, the Ciate Fierce Flicks Eyeliner and for mascara the mini Benefit BADgirl Bang Mascara.

I’m really indecisive when it comes to lip colours, and it’s one of those things I love to mix up throughout the week, and so I have to admit… I did bring 2 liquid lipsticks, 2 lippies, a lip gloss AND a lip liner… because this girl’s got issues. The lipsticks were NARS Velvet Lip Glide in Burning Love, Maybelline Superstay Ink Crayon in Settle For More, MAC Lipstick in Velvet Teddy, L’Oreal Signature Matte Lipstick in I Speak Up, PIXI LipLift Max in Honey Sheen and Rimmel Exaggerate Lipliner in Red Diva.

I know for any ‘normal’ human being, this seems like an excessive amount of makeup for one person to take on holiday… however, I really do enjoy wearing it AND who cares! If I love makeup that’s because I love makeup!
