So we all know Mac/Urban Decay/ABH do incredibly lippies, but I’m here to share with you today by top 5 drugstore lipsticks! My top 5 affordable lipsticks that I find myself wearing day in day out!
Bourjois Rouge Velvet Lipstick in 03 (£8.99) | This really is one of the best long lasting traditional bullet lipsticks out there! Super comfortable, long lasting, a beautiful colour, a really easy shape apply, and an all round great lipstick!
Max Factor Honey Lacquer in Chocolate Nectar (£9.99) | This is probably (actually definitely) the only glossy lipstick I’ve ever loved! This is a really comfortable lipstick (which is a trend you’ll see throughout.. I really do take comfort first!), and a beautiful colour, and actually surpsingly long lasting considering the glossy finish.
L’Oreal Paris Rouge Signature in I Speak Up (£9.99) | If you’d asked me a year a go if a bright pink lipstick would have been in my drugstore top 5… I’d have laughed in your face! However, this lipstick formula has really taken me by surprise! It’s a really thin formula that’s really pigmented! It’s one of those lipsticks you can apply in one swipe!
Rimmel The One Matte in High Flyer (£6.99) | Now this is the best matte lipstick out there! The other three have slightly more glossy finishes, but sometimes you want that classic original matte finish! It’s matte without being too drying and has a beautiful finish! However, it does have a slightly interesting scent!
Topshop Lipstick in Devotion | I love this lipstick! It’s super buttery and lip balm like and has the most gorgeous white stripey packaging… however, Topshop re-formulated and re-packaged their entire line. I haven’t had a chance to try any of it yet, but I can’t wait to try the lipsticks and see if they’re the same formula as they always had been!
I’ll be writing my top 5 for high end lipsticks too next week… just incase you’re interested!
