Who doesn’t love a good lipstick? I know I surely do! And L’Oreal seriously do do them better than most! Their lipsticks come in beautiful shades, last really well and their packaging is on point. And their new range of lipsticks – the L’Oreal Rouge Signature Matte Liquid Lipsticks – are no exception!
Available in 12 beautifully stunning shades at £9.99 a pop, they’re a seriously good deal. And one thing I do like about the range, the colours are different! There’s not 10 nudes which are all pretty much identical and then a red and one random shade (like a blue). They’re all different, unique, but wearable shades!
The packaging is simple, classy and elegant and very L’Oreal! I love how you can see exactly what colour the lipstick is straight away. And pretty much just LOVE the packaging!
The five colours I have are I Am Worth It (a stunning, classic red), I Enjoy (a deep burgundy), I Rule (your classic beigy nude), I Speak Up (a bright pink) and I Achieve (a coral orange).
The lipsticks are pigmented in one swipe, but the really surprising thing is just how lightweight they feel on the lips! Literally feels like you’re putting water on your lips. They’re an oil based liquid formula, meaning they feel super hydrating and light without feeling heavy and dry. However, despite how ‘nothing’ they feel on your lips, they last REALLY well! I wore the red on Valentine’s and it lasted through the evening!
They dry to a semi-matte finish I have to say. I don’t think they’re a matte matte formula. But that doesn’t really bother me!
And while they last a really long time, they do fade of course! And one thing I do REALLY love about these lipsticks is that they fade like a stain, rather than crack like a matte liquid lipstick!
I honestly don’t know why the beauty community hasn’t lost their s**t over these lipsticks! They’re hands down the best liquid lipstick formula I’ve tried for some time…!
