Valentine’s Day Makeup Look

one year of look fantastic (17)

Another year, another Valentine’s Day! And, like every other blogger out there, I thought I would share with you my go to Valentine’s/Date Night Look. I’m talking soft, and pretty, and pink. So predictable. I also felt like this was the perfect time to share with you some of my favourite go-to products at the moment!

I start off the look with the Illamasqua Hydra Veil Primer, this gives the skin loads of moisture (which let’s face it, it needs at this time of year) and also makes it tacky. One of my favourite foundations at the moment is the NYX Can’t Stop Won’t Stop Foundation, and yes I really wan’t to try the matching concealer. It’s buildable medium coverage, has a beautiful satin finish and is surprisingly long lasting! Then the concealer I’m using is the Maybelline FIT Me Concealer, which is a go to light-medium coverage concealer! Then set the whole thing down with the Affect Loose Powder.

I’ve recently repurchased the Max Factor Creme Bronzer in Light Gold and it was like it’s never been missing. This is the perfect healthy looking bronzer! It’s the perfect shade, has a little bit of shimmer (but nothing crazy) and leaves me looking so healthy! I’ve been loving mixing together the blushes from the Stila Perfect Me Perfect Hue Palette. Then, to finish off the base, I use a little dusting of the Rosie for Autograph Highlighter Powder in Rose Bud. This is the perfect natural highlighter that gives you that real lit from within look.

The brow products are simply the Maybelline Brow Satin Pencil and the GOSH Brow Gel. This is my go to brow products, the perfect colours and the perfect formulas! Literally love them!

Eyes are simple, elegant and classic. I use my Max Factor Masterpiece Nude Palette in Rose Nudes to put down the matte eyeshadows. I first go in with the matte pink-mauve shade through the crease, deepening it up with the darker pink-mauve shade in the crease to deepen in up. Then, I use the golden shade out of the Stila palette to finish of the look!

We all know the mascara is what finishes off the look, and the one I decided to use is the Benefit BAD Girl Bang Mascara. It creates really big, volumising lashes quickly! While I definitely prefer the Rollerlash Mascara, this one is doing a good job for now!

My favourite lipstick for everyday, and one that works really well for while you’re eating… and let’s face it kissing (wahay) is the MAC Lipstick in Velvet Teddy. It’s a classic nude in a classic formula and it’s such … well.. a classic!

What’s your go to Valentine’s/Date night Makeup?
