When I sat down to write this blog post, I realised I’d written this blog post a million time already (3 to be exact – you can read Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3 here). However, I’ve recently discovered a few more that I thought I would add to the collection! While high end makeup can be brilliant, there really are some fantastic products at the other end of the spectrum, and I feel like finding them can be all the more rewarding.
Revolution Conceal & Define Concealer (£4) | I feel like there’s no point me whittling on about this… because everyone and their mother has tried this concealer. I know some love it and some don’t… but I’m definitely in the category who love it! It’s high coverage, easy to blend, super long lasting, and it comes in the best shade range for concealer in the drugstore!
PS My Perfect Colour Foundation (£5) | I have to say, I didn’t have high hopes for this when I first bought it. I mean… what do you expect from a full coverage foundation for £5 from Primark! However, this foundation is amazing! It has really great high coverage, it’s easy to blend, this is suprisingly a great shade for me and it looks stunning on the skin! The only two drawbacks to this is that it hasn’t got a pump (super annoying) and it can be a little thick, so I find you have to work with it fast!
Collection Primed & Ready Anti-Blemish BB Cream (£3.99) | At the opposite end of the spectrum, this is a stunning light coverage option. This is not for those of you who want the high coverage, edited makeup. However, if you’re looking for that natural, your face but better (that works right?) makeup, then this is the one! It evens out the skintone and provides a little bit of coverage, while allowing your natural freckles and things to peep through! I just love how this makes my skin look!
Wet N Wild ColorIcon in Rose In The Air (£3.75) | I really do feel like there’s not a better palette out there at this price! The mattes in here are seriously pigmented and the colour story is right up my street! And who doesn’t love a warm neutral?! I bought this palette off of the recommendation of Robyn’s Cup of Tea and I am not disappointed! The shadows are really blendable and it can really be compared to the Modern Renaissance Palette!
Jessup Eyeshadow Brushes | Literally like 95p a pop, these are the cheapest products here, but I guess you do have to buy them in a set of 12… which actually makes them more than £5… sue me (actually please don’t, I really can’t afford it!). However, these brushes are seriously impressive! The handles are sturdy and well made, the bristles are super soft, well packed and don’t fall out, and overall they’re really good brushes!
