Welcome to a new series here over on my blog in the run up to moving out – decluttering. Hands down my favourite activity, I love the whole organising, decluttering, packing side of life. I’m not so into cleaning (as in hoovers, and cloths, and sprays), but give me something to tidy up and organise and I’m happy as Larry! (whoever, this mysterious Larry is).
So, I thought I would begin at the beginning, with Primers. I don’t think I’ll be keeping things in order, just out of the desire and need not to have a million eye product declutterings in a row, but I thought starting with Primers was the right way to go – so read on to see what I kept and didn’t
DECLUTTERED
Max Factor Face Finity Primer | I actually LOVE this product, but I do think I prefer the other Max Factor Primer, which is why I think this one got ignored and left. So I’m actually getting rid of this because it’s out of date as opposed to the fact I don’t like it
Rimmel Insta CC Colour Correcting Primer | This actually isn’t a bad primer, it’s just the green side of it doesn’t really work… therefore I don’t really feel like it’s worth it
Barry M All Night Long Primer Stick | This just felt like wiping grease on your face, or wax, it really wasn’t pleasant, so no shock I’m getting rid of it
Bourjois Healthy Mix Primer | This is still relatively new to me, and so I haven’t quite formed an opinion of it, hence why I’m keeping it
Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer | I would say this is my favourite primer ever. It does such a good job of making my skin ready for foundation
L’Oreal Infallible Luminizing Primer | When I use a full coverage, matte primer, this is the one I go for when I want me skin to look super healthy and plump. I don’t often wear a full full coverage, but when I do, this is the primer I want!
Figs & Rouge Pore Perfecting Primer | This is so similar to the Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer that I’m in love… and I also LOVE the packaging!
What is your favourite primer? Which primer would you say I’m missing?
Katie x
I so desperately should follow your lead with this and start de-cluttering my makeup collection, it’s getting a little out of hand! I’ve never seen the Figs and Rouge primer before but you’re right, the packaging is super cute!
haha, it’s a nice activity to do when it’s dark and cold outside!
I set aside an afternoon to declutter my makeup and ended up throwing away a black bin bag worth of old stuff, it was sooooo satisfying! I’m guilty of never really using a primer though, so maybe I will check some of these out! x
It really is the best feeling! I’m moving soon, hence why I’m doing it, but it does make you feel lighter somehow
I didn’t like the Barry M one either x
Glad to know it’s not just me!
I love the loreal one and the smashbox! I actually use them together most days (smashbox on T-zone and loreal on my cheeks and temples) and the teamwork makes the dream work haha
Omg how have I never thought to use them together! X
