As you all probably know, then again, maybe not as I haven’t discussed nail polishes over here for some time, Barry M make the best drugstore nail polishes, like ever. And they launch new ranges more or less every season. My favourites are always the Gelly Hi Shines, but sometimes it’s nice to try new things… and their newest range is Under The Sea.

The range contains 4 shades, and they’re £3.99 a pop.

The four shades (from left to right) are Angelfish, Jellyfish, Butterflyfish and Pinktail. So, lets say, the colour names are adorable! These new shades are colour-shifting and two-toned, and each colour has both a back colour and shimmer.

The swatches above are with two coats, which is what I really feel like you need. If not, three coats is even better. I do think all Barry M Nail Polishes, and all nail polishes in general are like this though.

On their own they’re pretty, but I really don’t feel like they suit me. Something about the way it reflects light makes me look super super pale. However, paired on top of an opaque colour they look stunning! The strong colour behind it gives them so much more depth and makes them look so much better against my super pale skin tone. Like all other Barry M shades, they last around 3 days before chipping (which for me is about average).

So, above I’ve paired them with other Barry M Nail Polishes, as seen on the left, and then the opaque colour on its own to the right.

Overall, on their own they’re ok, paired with other nail polishes they’re beautiful!

Have you tried these? If so, what are your thoughts?
