I only got into Primer in the last 12 months or so, but now it’s one of those products I use every. single. day! I find it really makes your foundation wear so much better and my favourite ones are from Max Factor and Smashbox… and L’Oreal. Barry M have launched a type of primer I just haven’t seen yet… a stick primer! Weird right?
Much like a foundation stick, you apply straight onto your face and then blend out with whatever you chose – I blend with my fingers, I feel like this just works best. The product is only £6.99 and you get 6.5g of product.

The packaging is just this basic white tube, which is perfectly functional and I have no issue with whatsoever. However, I discovered why I haven’t tried a stick primer before… they’re horrible. At least this one is. It’s a super thick, heavy formula that just feels so horrible on the skin! Like that super heavy makeup feel that you really don’t want from your products!
And then it’s not like you were getting a brilliant primer, despite the feeling… because it was so thick, it wouldn’t set properly, meaning it mixed with any other foundation you put on top. When they mix together they separate and generally look terrible.
I’m so sorry for being so harsh about this, but I really don’t love it! In fact, I hate it! If you’re going with Barry M, stick to the nail polishes, lip options, blushers and eyeshadow palettes… in my experience, steer clear of the primer and foundations!

I haven’t seen this but I have a balm primer from MUA that looks sort of similar but not in a stick. It just feels like wax on my skin!
