The Maybelline Fit Me was always one of those concealers I loved, but could never ever use… because I am WAY too pale and they never stocked a colour in my shade. Well, now, think again. They’ve extended the shade range to include 12 shades (used to have 6) – which is so much better! And now, with shade 05 (the lightest shade they do) I have one that matches me!

The concealer is £5.99 and you get 6.8ml. The packaging is simple and the applicator is a simple dofer applicator. Simple.

It is a gel concealer, which means it conceals without feeling heavy or looking cakey and you skin appears brighter and awakened. It isn’t the highest coverage in the world, but it’s a good medium coverage, but very breathable, natural and brightening. It lasts well throughout the day. And when set with a good setting powder, it doesn’t crease under my eyes. It also doesn’t oxidise, which is awesome. Overall, it’s always been a concealer I have loved, but now I can actually use it!

Here it is compared to some of my other favourites concealer in all the lightest shades. In the swatches below it goes from the wrist with the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in 1, Maybelline Fit Me Concealer 05, Bourjois Radiance Reveal Concealer in 1, L’Oreal True Match Concealer in 1N.

Overall, if you are looking for a medium coverage, brightening concealer that doesn’t oxidise, then I would highly recommend this concealer.. especially considering the larger shade range!

Have you tried this concealer? If so, what were your thoughts?

  1. I used to use this before the Collection Lasting Perfection and I loved the Collection so much I didn’t go back. I would use shade 15 (which was actually lighter than 10 btw) and it was a good match. I wonder if they’ve changed the formula since I used it – maybe I’ll pick it up again one day x
